Hey I thought rather than irritate some poor tax credits advisor with my impatience to ask for some help on here. I renewed last Saturday and as yet, no changes, no letter, no idea! I, like many have 3 kids and whilst I do work I rely on my pyments to pay childcare and go towards my weekly food shop. We are on such a tight…

Tax Credits Payment
Hi all, sorry to start another thread about this but I just have a quick question, I renewed my tax credits claim by phone on Wednesday and I just wondered if we will get our payment as normal on Monday. As with my partner on the sick from work we seem to be relying on this money more than normal. Thanks in advance.

Permitted work whilst on IB
Just wondering if anyone can answer this question as the reply from DWP was a bit ambiguous: If you go above the lower limit permitted work rate of £20 per week for, say a month, and then go back to the usual rate of £20, do you lose benefit for that month, or does this mean that you're not entitled to any IB at all? The…

Child Tax Credits Advice
When receiving my quarterly bank statement I noticed the last Tax Credit payment I received was back in March. I was aware I had an overpayment in 2009/2010 because of changing jobs (that year income was around £24,000.00) and had been paid £1000 more than I had initially thought. The total overpayment now stands at…

Confused about declaring/not declaring none-taxable income.
Hi everyone, We are in an uncommon situation. We received our ctc renewal today. My husband is a long distance lorry driver, and is paid night out money, which he doesn't pay tax on. Because this isn't taxable income, do we declare it on the ctc form or not? Can they still count it as income even though it isn't taxed?…
