Hello please can I ask for advice here. Just got renewal pack through. Have earned between my other half and myself £7300 over what our salary was for 2009-2010. We didn't do an estimate. TC have worked on what we earnt for last years renewal. Paperwork from them says if your income has gone up dont worry as we base claims on last year's salary so your payments shouldnt change. Will we have an overpayment when I send renewal back.
Actual figures.
They are basing it on 18500.
We have joint salary of £24,600

Don't you mean 2010-2011??
Your award for this year will be based on the last financial year so expect them to drop what they pay you for . You shouldn't have an overpayment because of the disregard.0 -

Sorry yes thats what I meant. In 2009-2010 we received 18500 in salary so 2010-2011 was based on that. However we actually received over 25,000 in 2010-2011. So does that mean we haven't been overpaid then? I know we will have from April 2011 and have kept payments from then to give them back. Am I making sense lol?!! Not so good at explaining myself!0 -
They are completely useless, I gave them actual amount of 28k for 2009/2010 and I found out this week that the silly person who put in all info on to the system was 8k. So all of last year's payments WILL have to be paid back.. (your talking over £150 a week, WTC & CTC)
We actually wrote this all down on the form and sent it off, and that is how they got all relevant information.
Do they keep the forms?0 -
No as above says because of the disregard you shouldn't have, doesn't apply to estimates but as you're working on a previous years salary then it comes into play. As above says though your payments will go down
