Confused about declaring/not declaring none-taxable income.

Hi everyone,
We are in an uncommon situation. We received our ctc renewal today. My husband is a long distance lorry driver, and is paid night out money, which he doesn't pay tax on. Because this isn't taxable income, do we declare it on the ctc form or not? Can they still count it as income even though it isn't taxed?
Thanx.

I would give the tax credits people a call and maybe renew over the phone, I had loads of questions about what was taxable and what wasn't and they were very helpful and said that most of the things I was going to class as taxable, actually weren't!0

If it's not taxable then it almost certainly won't count as income. I think the only non taxable employment related payment that counts for tax credits is strike pay0

my partner regularly has to stay overnight...........and although he is paid at a rate of 50% for his 'rest hours' its all taxed0
