What’s this about? Willing to give your view on the Labour Party, answer questions about your sex life, or test out the latest moisturiser? If so, it’s possible to earn £100s a year, without any special skill or talent. It’s all about stashing cash from filling in online surveys or taking part in focus groups.

The first point of call is read the full Survey Stashing guide.
Then having found the best survey sites, this discussion is specifically to talk about feedback and tips for the survey site

Lightspeed are more interested in givign you quick polls than they are surveys. Have had nothign from them in months. Has anyone won any of their prize draws?

Lightspeed is the best for me. I have almost £10 from them from just a month. Sometimes I get three surveys in one day.

Im getting alot of surveys where you answer many questions before the 'sorry not the profile we need' thing, have 10 prize entries but no points. I wouldn't mind if it was after the basics ie. gender, age, location etc but today I answered questions for a chocolate survey, must of answered 20+ questions (of which they were very repetative) to get told this. Annoyed!

Saying that, they are the best site for me, i normally convert to hmv vouchers

At 115 points per £1 PayPal payment, I have had £4 already paid to my account from LightSpeed, within 1 month of joining.

Not many sites are like that, most have annoyingly large minimum payments like YouGov (£50), or GTM (Global Test Market) at a more reasonable $50 (£25-£30 at current exchange rate).

In the long distant past I resigned from LightSpeed as then they only seemed to enter you in a chance to win some money after doing some tediously long survey.

Now I have rejoined recently, I am glad I did as they pay out in cash (PayPal being as good as).

The surveys seem OK as well, not too long for the compensation received.

In fact one was for more than the minimum payout (£1 by PayPal) on its own!

You can also ask for High Street Vouchers, where the exchange rate works out more like 110 points to the £1.

    Street 2:
    City:
    Postal code:

Lightspeed are one of the best in my opinion. I think if you don't fill in the quick match surveys sometimes you miss out on the full ones. I make a relatively consistent £5 per month by logging in every day. This last month i have made about £8-9.

I've been a member of Lightspeed for several months, completed quite a few surveys, and haven't had a single point in my account. So I resigned - I'm having much better luck with Valued Opinions.

    Make £2020 in 2020 - £263.78/£2020

    2020 totals
    Swagbucks - £100 | Prolific Academic - £44.54 | Qmee - £10 | PopulusLive - £50

I had been with lightspeed for well over a year, possibly more than 2. I had no problems with them at all (although I never checked to see if my points had been added when they should have been). So as far as I was concerned everything was going along quite nicely...
    Then...it seems...I made a fatal error...I told my parents about lightspeed...and they thought..."what a good idea"...we'll join as well.
    This is what happened next:
    I cannot log in...wait a week...
    ...ok email them.
    Subject: Login Problems

I hope all is well at Lightspeed. Sorry to bother you, but I am writing to you to let you know that I have been unable to sign in to my account for a few days now.
Every time I try I just get the message "Your email address and password combination do not match any in our database. Please try again."

    Please can you help me.

    Many thanks and kind regards

    Dear Panellist,
    Thank you for your email.
Lightspeed Consumer Panel has recently increased its checks of panel memberships. As you know by having agreed with our Terms & Conditions, Lightspeed Consumer Panel only accepts one membership per person.

Upon reviewing your details, we have found that you have registered for membership with the panel more than once. Because it is against our Terms & Conditions to have more than one account, all your accounts have been terminated.

Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more details:

    Kind regards,

    **my same day response**
    Subject: RE: Login Problems

I do only have one membership and am now confused because I have checked with both my parents and they have found that their accounts no longer exist as well.

Your Terms and Conditions state...and I quote:
"1.2 Membership of the panel is open only to residents of United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) who are 16 years of age or over."

My parents are not me, we are different people and have different views and opinions. We are not the same age and not all the same sex.

We have all been doing your surveys individually and are all very dissapointed by your actions. I, for one, enjoy giving my opinion on various topics, as I am sure my parents do as well.
Please forgive us if we have made a mistake. But none of us noticed a 'one member per household' restriction in your Terms and Conditions.

Please let me (or either of my parents) know what can we do to rectify this?

    Thank you and regards,

    **The following week**
    FW: Subject: RE: Login Problems

It has been 8 days now since I last emailed you and I have not yet heard back.

After discussing this in length with my parents, I can now see how you made the mistake in thinking that one individual had more than one account.
My parents are really quite annoyed with the way you have treated us and have said that we might as well forget lightspeed altogether. However, I cannot help but voice my views on your behaviour.
The way you dealt with this is, in my opinion, very bad form.
You could have simply sent out a warning email to every account you thought was a duplication stating that the account would be removed unless challenged. However you decided instead you removed accounts without even so much as a hint.
I'm not sure how much credit my parents had built up on their accounts, or even how much I had on my account for that matter, but you could have at least given all the opportunity to cash in their credit before removal...that, however is only a part of my point. My main point is...the stealth removal of accounts is unfair, unfeeling, show very poor customer service and no respect.

Like I said, my parents are more than a little annoyed.
I am very upset. To think that a company I once thought was respectful and very interested in what each individual had to say, no matter what age or sex, would now treat people in such a way is very disappointing....to say the least.

Yes, I recommended your site to both my parents...and yes I do now have regrets...we have been very open and honest with you and it's such a shame that you have not treated us in the same way.

I hope to get a response from you...even if it is just an apology.

    Regards,

    **
Sorry for the lengh of post here but I thought I'd let you all know the current situation and the history.

I would be interested in your thought on this.
