My SOA. Any suggestions?
Hi everybody. I joined the forums about two weeks ago and have been browsing the main site for much longer. I've now got around to doing my SOA. I'm not too worried about my debt althogh i was brought up in the "Old fashioned way" of if you don't have the money don't spend it! In my adult life i've gone off the beaten path…

Bad day yesterday
Hi All My turn to have a moan! went to see account manager at my bank (LTSB) yesterday for an account review - her reason for inviting me was to try to 'save me some money' (which, being cynical - probably correctly - I tend to interpret as her trying to flog me some of the banks products). Basically she went through all…

Little bit at a time...
But every little helps said the old lady as she pee'd in the sea! (thanks Dad for that one) I have been 'overpaying' my debt bills for a few months now, that is things such as catalogues, ikea card, credit card etc. Even if I can only manage a couple of quid over the minimum payment. Like to think I have not got too much…

Debt Matters - Are these another loan company?
I just saw an advert on TV for a company called Debt Matters. The advert goes on about how they offer advice and simple solutions. I found their website here http://www.debtmatters.co.uk/ but I can't help thinking they are a consolidation loan company and if so the advert is really misleading.

When was it acceptable to spent £6 on ...
shampoo:eek: I'm running out of a number of items which I had bought before my DFW days such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel et al. I was looking at Boots.com last night for some offers and just couldn't believe I had been spending £6 on shampoo. What on earth has been happening? Why did I think before my DFW days that…

I'm up to 640 and that's only after 4 or 5 days perhaps? :j However that is taking advantage of all the initial signing up for newsletters etc which are 50-100 points each. Pay Utility Debt Out of Benefit?
I remember hearing when I worked for a utility company, that it was possible to get arreers taken out of your benefit instead of paying up front. Is that still possible? I owe a substantial amount on my electricity bill, because I was paying on estimated readings for over a year. I couldn't ring up to give a reading…
