Crikey O'Reilly the train is a runaway. I am sorry but I have only skim read and apologise if I have missed anything major. Loving the pet pics and the beautiful red car Mrs SD.
We came home on Friday night. Glitch free travel with planes and the airport bus, which is amazing for 2 quid. A lovely, lovely time was had. I feel so at home in the Shetland isles, The community is like where I lived as a kid in the 1960's. The only thing brought home was a gift set from The Shetland soap company which was a surprise gift from Mr V. I would recommend that if you are in the market for high quality, cruelty free toiletriesand candles to google them. Free postage on orders over £40. I have had several products in the past few years, all fab. The production and shop provides supported work for adults with additional needs. DD1's BF works there as support. Oh, I bought a candle for my cat sitter too and a bottle of Shetland gin.
Yesterday,we went to collect some patio paving that I bought for £25 from FB. Bargain. I lifted them and Mr V loaded the car. I won't count every stone. They are for my garden revamp. We called in a few shops that we don't have near us. OOps, Mr V bought another 2 mugs and a very nice polo shirt from the chazzer, So out will go 6 visitor mugs that we hardly ever use .
Our weather is looking wet next week ( not on your scale wee nancy. Take care.) so I am on a hunt for a wall picture that I can't find. I am always on the lookout for things to evict when I open a cupboard or drawer. If there is a break in the weather I will go to Mum's house and dig up her snowdrops and see if I can get them to naturalise in my soon to be new garden. I will pot some up for the kids as they all have a garden and it will be nice for them to have some of Grandma's snowdrops for years to come. BTW weenancy, I think you could have a pomegranate tree in your new garden. No chance here, far too cold and wet.
case unpacked 2 loads of washing done, just off to Aldi. Vx

It was me who mentioned Project 333. I was going to watch some videos about it next week.
The party in London was nice last night, but I was very glad to get home this afternoon. I had a fibromyalgia flare up last night just before I was leaving the hotel to go to the party. I hardly ever get them anymore and that was the third time since I've moved here so only 3 in 2 years. I had such a bad sleep as the room n the hotel was too hot My husband was the same.
It felt really lovely to walk back home and hear the seagulls and get in and relax. I don't mind parties, but I am an introvert and they really exhaust me.
I have done a huge load of laundry and dried most of it on the radiators.
I did look at my shelf in the kitchen and thought I would do some tidying and decluttering. I took everything off and cleaned the shelves. There was random detritus that didn't belong there so I returned it all to the proper places. I sorted out my tea collection and binned some flavoured coffee. It looks amazingly better now. I should have taken a before and after pic. It took much longer than I expected, over an hour.
That is it now for the day. I'm going to catch up with YT videos and have a hot bath tonight. My dog should be back from the kennel any second.2025 GOALS

Sunday is another overcast & breezy day & the air feels damp. DH made my 1st cuppa & I am about to make a 2nd drink before settling down to catch up with the cheerleading 😉
GrannyKate, the closed local Tip ended up being a blessing in disguise - a drive out & a spot of brunch/lunch. Congratulations on becoming a great great aunt 🥳 & pleased to hear that mum & baby are doing well 😊 Thanks to my DH’s side of the family I am a great great aunt 7 times over 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 and what a great find in the CS 😊 Hope you enjoyed your rainbow trout 😋 Good luck with Ernie 🍀
SIRENS, sometimes the ‘To Do’ list just has to be ignored whilst you build up your mojo 😊 Great work sorting out kitchen drawers 👏 & good luck selling hubbies electronics 🍀
Florafauna, nice to hear that you have enjoyed your time in the TLC Carriage 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 Fingers crossed for some good preliminary valuations from the estate agents 🤞
Brie 🥲😂😅
Siebrie, thanks for asking the question 👏 I was a bit confused as well 😉
mehefin, are you sure you only brought back 153 boxes 😅 Sounds like the ‘book fairies’ might have added a few more boxes 😉 Hopefully you can sell the boxes & add some cash to the kitty for running costs 🤞 Do you have a Grand Re-Opening Date yet? I had never heard the expression “Cold as charity in Winter” so went down a rabbit hole for a good 5 minutes 🙊
flamingo747, please can we see a picture of your new to you car 🙏 May you have many happy years of trouble free driving 😊
Lovely post QueenJess 😊 I think that “An Ambassador for Nice Food” is a great title 👏 Any room in your house for a permanent visitor 😂 Of course I would help with the decluttering & tidying + any other tasks you might have 😅 The clotted cream ice cream sounds lush so I am hoping that you will donate some to the TLC Carriage 🙏 Good luck at the Specsavers 🍀
Great decluttering charlies_tribe 👏 Surprised you got so much done whilst being on DGD sitting duty 😊
nannywindow, I mooted the idea of naming the car but I was shot down in flames by both DH & DSis 😅 A great idea to turn the TLC Carriage into a party carriage once in a while 👏 I think I might have to add a music room to the EDT 🤔 sound proofed of course - so that any declutterati with musical talent could practice & we could have live music at our parties 😉 The first instruments would be a piano, guitar, accordion & clarinet - my favourite instruments 😅 Other suggestions are welcome 😉 Shame about your watch 😔 & good luck finding a new one that you will love just as much 🍀
Brambling, such a shame that the ‘Community Hospital’ is actually no such thing 😔 Nothing wrong with getting on your soapbox - I will join you with mine - there seems to be no joined up thinking anymore when it comes to town planning 😠 If you are building new houses you need to take into account all the infrastructure - roads, shops, medical facilities including dentists, public transport, utilities, schools, libraries, council services. I have probably forgotten a few but I will pack up my soapbox & head off into the sunset 😂 Hope the cat didn’t break anything with his impromptu decluttering 😉
Great decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 And yippee to finding 3 frames that you like 🥳 I must admit that when it comes to getting new glasses (even after 40+ years of buying my own) I am still ‘unpleasantly’ surprised at how much the lenses cost 😳 Christmas visiting lasting into February - I rather like that idea 😉
I am breaking off to have a bowl of hm soup so will post this & will be back shortly. I should mention that DH has zizzed some peelings & fed the worms. He filled the bird feeders yesterday.

The hm soup was delicious - a lovely depth of flavour 😋
weenancy, how great that the missionaries came back & cleaned up 👏 & really pleased that you will be getting some tomato plants to start you off 😊 That weather system coming in sounds horrendous 😱 Just wondering if you have any water butts to save some of the water for your plants once the storm is over & you start your vegetable & fruit growing? What a lovely community you live in 😊 Fingers crossed that feral cat has somewhere higher up to hide from the rain & stay safe🤞Please stay safe & warm 🙏 The car will definitely be dryer & warmer but unfortunately not faster 😔 Way too much traffic 😔
London_1, sorry to hear that you woke up so early 😔 That time in the morning almost makes you a night owl 😉 OH’s granny sounds like a wonderfully pragmatic & practical woman who had no qualms in thwarting officialdom 🤣 Just wondering if she is looking down & giggling at the chaos she has caused 😉 I think you & weenancy would get on like a house on fire 😊 Such a difficult decision on whether children should attend funerals or not 😢 With all the decluttering you have done, the carpet cleaners should have a relatively easy time tomorrow 🙂 Shame that DGS Jack was thwarted by the rail strikes 😔 but pleased to hear that you will get to see him anyway 😊
TheDoolallyDilly, Mabel looks so contented 😌 You have been busy 👏 I hope you bought a lottery ticket after managing to get an F2F GP appointment 😉 Joking aside, I hope they can diagnose the issue & start treatment asap. Great decluttering 👏 Counting electronic decluttering is definitely NOT cheating especially as you are in Maintenance Mode 😊 Well done on reaching your January target & please have a 2nd medal 🏅
Thank you Dfw38 🙂 I think I might have got in there first - just awaiting a response from QueenJess 😂 Wow what a busy Saturday 👏🤩 I hope you are taking it easier today 🤞 You got so much done that I am awarding you a medal🏅 Now keeping everything crossed that the dwp get back to you quickly 🤞Do your DDs have any clothes left 😉
EnergyShifter, no worries about falling off the EDT as we have the special netted carriage at the back - you just have to walk through the train to get to the TLC Carriage to have a rest especially after such a busy week 🤩 for which I am awarding you a medal 🏅 Excellent news that the roof work is finished & that the ceiling is repaired 👏 Sorry to hear that the optician was so useless 😔 Not sure if it was a chain but if so perhaps an independent opticians might be better 🤞 Please spend lots of time in the TLC Carriage 🙏 & thanks for the 💐 they will brighten up the place 😊
BudgetingBelinda, I do love a new vacuum just wondering if you have someone to do the maintenance to keep it working efficiently 😉 Absolutely loved your comment “It feels quite contagious to declutter at the moment” 😊👏
TC77, the colour change car sounds quite ‘funky’ 😅 I might have quite liked it when I was younger 😂 Hopefully now that your DB is making decisions on what he would like to keep from your Dad’s house, you will not be tempted to bring too much back 🤞Although I do appreciate your comment “…… so now as he says things he wants, I feel I can't say maybe I want it, and of course when someone else wants something it makes it more appealing! (must not respond to that)” - our minds are strange & wonderful things 😉 Very well done on resisting the temptation of keeping one of your dad’s jumpers - definitely a win👏 😊 Good luck with the financial planning 🍀
D123456789, good work decluttering the fridge & doing some batch cooking 👏 Hopefully now that you are aware that you are buying & not just selling on V*nted, you can curb the buying & up the selling 🤞
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 & great news that DD wants more of her stuff 🥳
Muddy_Walker, sounds like your dogs haven’t quite got the hang of decluttering 😉 perhaps you should send them to the TLC Carriage for a while 😉 I see that Radish72 responded to your query about Florenceem 😊 She is as busy as ever & is still decluttering her crafting stash 😊
I have reached the bottom of another page 🥳 but have just noticed the time so am off to do the prep work for tonight’s dinner.

DS's party went well and 2 hours was definitely the right amount of time - I definitely couldn't control 6-7 year old silly boys for longer than that! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The house is currently very tidy - not quite 100%, but then there is definitely one more level of decluttering required in it. It's just getting very hard to the things to declutter, but I know there is still a bit too much stuff around. Managed to exceed my 10 physical items a day target again.
1 - bottle stop (useless), binned
8 - craft supplies used up/recycled
1 - baking supplies used up
1 - DD tat recycled
1 - bird food used up
1 - DS clothes (charity box)
1 - cleaning cloth recycledNew total = 2,576Kitchen (plus a few bits still to sort in the garage), plus massive understairs hall cupboard are my current hotspots to sort. Library always lingers in the background, but hasn't made it to the top of the list to sort yet.I tried to go through my bedside table today, but I want and use absolutely everything in there, so I just put it all back a bit neater.2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Came for late lunch at DDs and Jack was there with his young lady. What a sweetie she is , a lovely girl who seems to adore our ‘gentle Jack’ bless her when they went she thanked my DD for such a lovely kind and caring young man she had raised. My DD was quite touched as she had never had any of her sons girlfriends say anything as nice as that to her before. But she’s right Jack is a lovely lad and very kind and caring, especially to women. He hated it when his uni pals were playing the field he’s just not got it in him to be a’player’ he had such respect for women but then his three brothers are the same bless’em. He will be home next weekend for a few days as it’s half term so I’ll see even more of him 🥰🥰🥰. Room is already for the carpet cleaners tomorrow👍👍😀19

Had a lovely rest day today with my mum. It's 10 years today that he died, so it was nice to be with mum and DS2 came along too. Also went to the art cafe in the town I grow up. It's so lovely and the couoke are like friends. I have promised to take some paintings in when I go down, so i had better get painting 😜
I took a quick snap of the hedge with we did yesterday. Thank you so much for the medals mrs SD. DS2 will be delighted im sure.
