Fizz it was Raglan, the actual garden centre is a very small family run one but the Sugarloaf cafe does fabulous meals.
MrsSD what a great looking car ! Hope you have many years of pleasure with her. Does she have a name yet ? I don't know why I refer to all cars as she 🤷♀️ Ours is lovingly called Suzi tank 😂 Of course I'll share the sexy waiters, physios, hunky masseurs and pets etc, it will be lovely having other people to chat with too over afternoon tea. Maybe now and again we could turn it into a party carriage to cheer everyone up 🎈🥂🎶
Sadly today I have had to declutter my watch which DD bought me many years ago. It was a Radley one with a scotty dog on it 😥 Now I'll have to go hunting for something suitable, I need one that lets me see the time when I'm not wearing my glasses so I'll probably need one the size of Big Ben !

Brambling, cheese scones 🤤 & the daffodils will brighten up the TLC Carriage 😊 Shame about the cold 😔 You are absolutely correct that all cakes are calorie free 😊 How can any hospital, however small, not have a doctor 😔 surely that would be called a First Aid station 🤨 Your friend sounds formidable 😊
No decluttering done today I'm still feeling sorry for my self with a chesty cold, although the cat was nearly permanently declutterred to the TLC carriage when he cleared the bedside table 7.30am this morning everything including the lamp and my glasses ended up on the floor and I really needed glasses to find my glasses 🙄

Hi all, quite a good day today, bathroom bin and bedroom bin emptied and as I was heading out to check out some local opticians I grabbed the full cs bag from the door knob of the understairs cupboard and dropped off 12 items there. A new bag has been hung up
I think I was quite lucky with the opticians as I found a member of staff who actually listened to my requirements. I was looking at the display and she started opening draws under the display where there were loads of glasses not on display. Never in the almost 50 years I have been wearing glasses had it ever occured to me that opticians would have glasses not on display. Anyhow I found 3 pairs I quite liked so OH is coming with me on Monday to help choose, though I do have a favourite. I asked the price and although the frames are only £37 by the time I have the varifocal lenses with the reactor light coating we are up to £325, sharp intake of breath, but this is still less than I paid for my current pair and I might have a bit of wiggle room with the level of the varifocals. Discussions will be had on Monday
On the way home I went to the chemist to try to get some eye gel as they are still a bit sore from the screening yesterday but I had completely forgotten they close at 12 on Saturday and I cba going to find another one
I then picked up coffee and popped in to ln for a catch up as I haven't seen her all week. After tea I started my new project
Tomorrow we are going to see 2 friends, one after the other who happen to live near each other and the last of the christmas presents will be delivered / decluttered from the lr. We still have one meal out to organise and then christmas will be officially done
Can I just say I love scones with jam and clotted cream and it is utterly beyond me how anybody can have leftover cream, surely all that is required is more scones
Right I am off to bed now so hugs to anybody who would like one

Hi, I think I have decluttered almost all the plants in my yard. The missionaries came again and cleaned up everything. And promised to bring tomato plants for the frames I already have. Other than that, I need to totally re-plan what to grow - after the huge rainstorm coming in. They are expecting 27 times our normal 6 month rainfall over the next week. Going to be a lot of flooded streets. Glad I don't live near the beach. We have been to three grocery stores and picked up all of the medications. Just have to pick up library books tomorrow and we will be all set for the storm. Disneyland plans to stay open as long as possible though several rides will have to be closed. Knott's Berry Farm has said it will be closed all week.
Two of our trash bins are ready to go - thanks to the missionaries. Still a pile of stuff waiting to go, and they promised they will be coming back to finish it up after the storm. The local people even took away the trash waiting to go from the last few weeks work on the yard! Brought their own trash bins over and filled them up and then carted them away. Are planning to mow our lawn as soon as it dries a little.
I am hoping for a mostly edible yard with fruit trees and a vegetable - herb garden like I used to have.
Did have one thing happen which would have been a major problem - they put the cover back on the under-the-house access - but the feral cat was hiding in there. I realized it as soon as they left and let him out.
It has already started to rain, but it is expected to let up for a couple of hours tomorrow. Then let loose on Sunday evening, Monday, and Tuesday.19 -
Mrs. S_D - wonderful new car. Now you can stay drier and warmer and get there faster.18

@weenancyin America I am alarmed to hear of the huge rainfall you will be getting in a week and hope you all stay safe and dry. I am also intrigued to hear more about the feral cat18

Good morning chums up early as for some reason I was wide awake at 3,45.am Laid for awhile then got bored and got up for a cuppa, once I'm awake I'm no good at being in bed I have to be up and around. It was dreadful when I was in hospital last year, especially in October when I physically couldn't get out of bed
drove me crackers but I ended up reading around 3 books a week instead. A few cuppas inside and I'm raring to go again.
My eldest is the same she is an early bird as well, I've just texted her to ask which 'trees' she wants to keep.
My late OH's Granny married one chap in 1904 had two children (one of whom became my pa-in-law) then the marriage failed and she went off with the second chap. She stayed with the second chap had another 5 children and brought all seven up with his surname.
My late Pa-in-law was only 2 when they parted .he grew up knowing nothing about his birth father at all.Bit of a pain when tracing the family tree as I traced the whole of what I thought was the tree but was in fact the second chaps family. No doubt about it when you shake the family tree all sorts of things fall out.
But back in those days it was only the rich who could afford divorces But Granny was a devious old gal, and depending as each child was born she signed the birth cert with a different name using the child's fathers first wife name in various guises .Either pretending she couldn't read or write and just making a X or altering her first name to that of her chaps wife, even though his first wife too had legged it with someone elsetook me 4 years to sort that lot out. Chasing the wrong line. But I did find true descendant and gave a copy to her which she was really pleased about as she too didn't know what Granny had been up to. Best part was she can remember the Granny as being a very prudish old lady who frowned at modern ways, and the length of her mini skirts in the 1960s
Genealogy is so much fun at times
Yes, my friends husbands funeral went off OK it was really nice in a way, as he was remembered for being such a smashing chap and how much laughter and light he gave everyone around him. He was keen on classical music so we all had the music at the funeral on a CD to take home with us.
A sad part was one of the gt grandchildren who was only about 6 absolutely sobbing for her grandpa, and that was so sad bless her. I'm a bit old fashioned, and think its not really a place for little ones, but each to their own and perhaps Mum couldn't get cover for her.
My friend was amazing though, and we have been friends for many years, we have joint birthdays next week and our late Mums birthdays were on the same day as well. She is going away next week so I said just take one day at a time and she's promised all our coffee morning buddies (who all went along for support ) that she would be back on a Tuesday when she returns home.
So today it will be a case of sorting the different trees out I have shredded all of my Uni stuff and exam papers and goodness knows what else I thing the recycling chaps on Tuesday will be pleased the amount I have recycled .
The carpet cleaners are coming tomorrow so that will be another job done out of the way Fingers crossed when the sale goes 'live' it will generate a bit of interest and maybe a fairly swift sale
Right back to sorting again, DGS Jack couldn't get home yesterday because of the rail problems, but his girlfriend is driving him up today for lunch with his parents, so I shall see him then.he can take the gadgets back to his house with him There a portable George Forman grill, a cheese toastie maker, and a waffle maker three less things to pack when I move. I am donating him a couple of cook books as well as his young lady seems to like cooking and so does he
he will also take some jigsaws as they both like them and when finished he can donate them to the school as he works in a boarding school and is house master a couple of times a week for the children in their evening leisure periods and they are often looking for jigsaws
Cheers chums hope the day goes well for everyone

Morning all, lots of love to all, especially @nannywindow. My little cat Mabel loves a cosy lap, especially if covered with a throw or duvet
I've not been here for a few days, so lots of pages to catch up on! I managed to get a F2F GP appointment on Friday, so I've been swabbed for infection, we'll see what comes of that. I also managed to get in touch with an electrician about installing an extractor fan, so small progress with that project. I'll contact the handyman today too, and get him booked in.
I can't remember who said it (I really admire your skills at cheerleading, @Mrs_Salad_Dodger) but I'm interested in Project 333 too. I have loads of clothes, but don't like/wear lots of them 😬 Would love to have less clothes and love and wear them all #wardrobegoals 😂
I've ended up with a bit of a free day today, so may potter about, and maybe do sone baking. Need a shower and some breakfast first! I found a half used box of drawer liners, so I'm going to find a drawer to line 🙂
I managed to get 89 physical objects decluttered, my target was 100 in January. I also got my inbox down from over a thousand emails to under 340, plus YouTube playlists sorted and decluttered, so I'm declaring that 100 items (it's not cheating 😁). I'm in maintenance mode so there were some very hard decisions made.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
