Out: 1 longsleeve shirt that I got from my Aunty by way of my Mum, wore a few times, then promoted to nightwear; I'd say it's about 30 years old now, and it's gone see-through, which I'm not comfortable with, even when sleeping. It's now in the rag bag for the recycling centre. The main part of our new wardrobe is up, the 3 drawers are made, I bought new handles to replace the nasty black plastic ones that made the cheap wardrobe look really cheap. I was going to spraypaint them messing or matt gold, but at the DIY store I saw nice metal handles for €3 each (discounted from €7.85), which made 10 of them just as expensive as the 2 bottles of spraypaint. We have already noticed why they were discounted: some screws are 1mm too long, which makes the handle wobbly. We have these little flat metal disks somewhere and will put those between the screw and the inside of the wardrobe where the handle goes. I'll post a picture when the wardrobe is finished and filled. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5919

Hello all. I have continued with my family history cull but numbers are going down much more slowly now as I need to be careful to check all the links.
189 Another 1000 names deleted from Family History tree
190 February cards purchased only one birthday plus new baby card
191 Realised my EHIC card about to expire so new GHIC card ordered on line
I have made a momentous decision which will mean serious decluttering is needed. If DS2 is able to move out this spring/summer I am going to move. I want somewhere smaller which is less dependant on driving and nearer children's schools to support DS2 for a few more years yet. I have 4 bedrooms and a large kitchen, huge dining room and lounge as well as outdoor cabin/study. House is starting to need money spent on it and garden is too big. I have picked an area I like although it is not the cheapest - compromises will be needed. The seed is there in my head now so I must start planning.2025 Decluttering Campaign 772/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

TC77 I love that desk, that's a proper desk ! I'd want a bankers lamp on it and an old fashioned pen and ink stand if it were mine.
GrannyKate hope you get your move and what you want /need. Have fun looking.
I did the washing yesterday and put the dry stuff away this morning. I also decluttered my Dad yesterday ! He came for the day and I'm sorry to say I couldn't wait for him to go home, he was driving me nuts all day by arguing over the smallest thing. He was never the easiest of people to get on with for as long as I remember.
Out today a pair of Sunday socks, they were fine when I wore them out this morning but on removing my boots one had a hole in the heel 😕 I have filled my tablet dispenser and thrown out the empty med boxes, plus 2 large boxes that contained my new latex pillow which has to breathe for 2 days before being put on the bed, then my old one can be disposed of.
Hugs to all

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently19 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday is another overcast day but slightly brighter than yesterday although the wind has picked up considerably. Up before midday for a change 😉 DH was already up as he has his first refresher driving lesson today. Not sure if anyone remembers that DH won a pair of boots + 5 pairs of socks from an Australian blog that he listens to? Well they have finally got in touch & arrangements are being made for them to be sent from the U.K. distributor 🙂 Although slightly disappointingly they only stock one style of boot (Chelsea) & he might not get the socks either. Never mind, it is still a win 😊
weenancy, that weather sounds horrendous so I am very pleased to hear that you have no need to go out until Friday & have a supply of books to keep you occupied 😮💨 Also glad to hear that Mitt should be safe & will have food available if he can get to it before the possums 😉 Fingers crossed that the storm dissipates before causing too much damage 🤞
You are welcome Florafauna 😊Good luck with the estate agent 🍀
~FlowerPot~ well done to DH for cleaning your car 👏 Presumably work picks up as better weather makes a comeback & people’s minds turn to thoughts of summer holidays & wearing sandals 😉
mehefin, I did meet Alice & she confirmed that the fairies had added extra books to each box 😂 Good luck with Saturday’s Grand re-opening 🍀 Hopefully everyone will turn up 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday (apart from the football result) 😊 & so nice that your friends have helped out with the decluttering by gifting edible presents 👏 Fingers crossed that the biggish sm shop isn’t too expensive 🤞 I’m just hoping (dreary thought coming up) that after the mild December we had, that winter doesn’t extend into March 🙏
QueenJess, A lovely chatty post & I especially like this “……. Clearly the train has been made a bit more comfortable this year so people are more relaxed and some new speed limits have been enforced for safety” 😊 As to your DD, she was probably a cat in a previous life so is used to being in charge 😂 Hopefully there is enough room in the library for at least one bed - just so I have plenty of reading material & can devote a bit of time to cataloguing your books 😉 Some more excellent decluttering 👏 & remember the less you have the easier it is to keep tidy 😉
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 Well done on pruning the thorny bushes/trees 👏 Not sure when the first outing will be & it might only be a trip to the sm 😉 Although I do know that DH’s DSis would like to see DH turn up in a car rather than on the bike 😂
vulpix, great decluttering - at least double what you & MrV brought back from your holiday 👏 & I see that your Ins/Outs ratio is now almost 1:4 🥳 It might have taken 15 years but the ‘decluttering seed’ is finally turning into a mighty oak 🤩 MrV is finally a fully paid up member of the Declutterati Family 👏
Crazycatlady2, good luck with the kitchen renovations 🍀
Siebrie, really looking forward to seeing the completed wardrobe with its upgraded handles 😊
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Hopefully there is not too much more work needed on culling the Family History documents 🤞 Wow that is a momentous decision & rather exciting 🤩 Also means that another of our Declutterati Family will be on the move this year 😊
Some great decluttering nannywindow 👏 especially the cantankerous Dad 😂
I suppose now that I have finished the cheerleading I should do something or should that be anything apart from vegging out watching TV 😂

So today we had 3 new windows in the bedrooms so I had to get a move on this morning and move a bed and take down blinds and curtains. They was gone by 12.30 so I hoovered and put everything back to normal then went to assess what I need to do to empty a shed....cold out there but washing mostly dried in the wind so that's good. Some stuff in bin and some going to son's school and next is to make room in front shed for storage shelf rack from other one I'm trying to empty
Got to keep progressing little by little whatever I can manage on top of everyday jobs etc best I can18 -

Hi chums the chap made a nice job of the carpet cleaning and I have been decluttering a lot of kitchenalia today and another visit to the CS with some pots and pans, a steamer and some china ornaments that are just dust catchers.
I asked in there if they could use some of the Lever arch files as I had given some to my neighbours little girl (she is in senior school ) and the CS lady said yes please so I have a bag of 10 to go tomorrow.
I also decluttered a bottle of mulled wine to my neighbour as she was looking really down in the dumps Her cat 'Willow' finally passed away from old age, and she had just received the ashes back and she was quite upset as she had had the cat for 15 years before she even had her children.
I am not keen on mulled wine much and it had been given to me at Christmas as a gift so I just regifted it to her, and said toast 'Willow' tonight with it. She's a lovely lass and so kind and has been an excellent neighbour and friend .
I told her the house was going online on Friday and she said 'Oh I wish you all the best, but I also wish you weren't going'
Bless her she's been a good neighbour and the house was her Grandma's before she passed away, and her and her husband bought it from the family.
I've seen her two daughters grow up there from tiny babies, and sadly although the marriage didn't survive as long as the cat she has a lovely new partner and they are getting married later this year.
I've got my feet up with a cuppa now so the rest of the day is one to relax, not much of it left
Dobbies coffee morning tomorrow, via the CS to drop off the arch files and another job done and dusted. Nice that its getting lighter in the evening now roll on the spring
Cheers chums

Some snow drops for you.
Been to Mum’s. The upstairs is done. Lots of things listed on thrift site. Lots being collected tomorrow. Snowdrops temporarily in pots in my garden. I have brought home a woollen blanket which has already been washed. Also brought home 4 pillowcases that Mum has embellished with her hand made lace. Just a large sitting room and large kitchen diner to go. Daunting, but I am half way there.Granny Kate, how exciting to move house. I think it will be the right thing to do. We don’t regret leaving the big house. Cheaper bills, smaller garden, less to clean. All a plus for me.Take care allVx:23 -

Glass jar
