    It's been drizzling here since about 7pm after a grey day 

    Another busy work day and unfortunately the last day for one of my colleagues, I will miss her and not just because she's not been replaced yet.  I'm on my own tomorrow and Tuesday so I may be driven to the gin! I fear I'm going to be pulled into the middle of a disagreement between two IT developers on a 9am call tomorrow, over which system is causing the issue

    Lunch was falafel and salad wrap.  I finally ate my lamb meatballs and braised fennel LOs tonight with rice and broccoli

    Rainy start but looking brighter now. Only need to step outside to get wheelie bin ready for collection tomorrow, times change, who would've thought bin collecting on Good Friday?

    Another overnight French loaf ready this morning, tried 25/75 wholemeal/ white for a change, seems to have worked well but lunch will tell

    Lunch sarnie, the fresh bread with salad & maybe cheese filling
    Dinner, pork chop, probably HM roast spuds, steamed broccoli & carrots. I have parsnips and may try a few in the roasting tin if room, otherwise they're in with the carrots
    If I had a large enough roaster, I'd do tray bake veggies but lifting a large heavy roasting tray with hot fat in is a bit too dangerous for me these days :(

    Good morning everyone,
    Managed my quiet day yesterday and feel the better for it. I fairly long "to do" for today but nothing too onerous.
    I'm hoping to finally get my tomato and cucumber seeds planted.
    For once there's no LOs so lunch will be cheese & crackers. Thai green chicken & veg curry tonight.

    Made it to a long weekend! Been a good week despite loads of people being off (maybe that’s what made things easier in some cases, actually 🤫). Have come down with a bit of a cold though, so will be doing some r & r the next few days. Weather looking ok so plan to get outside a bit too 🌞

    Last portion of soup (creamy pea and leek) from the freezer for lunch - I’m not making any more soup now, it must be spring. Nipped out to get paracetamol and picked up a cheese topped roll for dunking 😋

    Gnocchi with creamy Stilton, bacon and mushroom sauce, with green beans tonight. Was yummy and washed down with a 🍷

    I've been coughing all day, not sure if lurgy, asthma or tree pollen, last lurgy was Christmas so it will be Sod's law if it is. I was working on my own today so steady steam of emails and a couple of calls. 5pm was welcomed

    lunch was blue cheese, pear and fig salad. I used some YS fish pie mix and the last of a bag of prawns to make a fish pie for dinner, there are plenty of LOs

    Sunny start and promise of fine weekend, hope so for all those who have been working
    Brambling, I read it's going to be very high pollen this weekend, so maybe that's your cough?

    Nothing much planned for today, maybe pot on my tomatoes in the sunshine. I have put my cheapo "formed from :/ " gammon lump from Asda into soak, try & get some saltiness out of it, I'll slow cook it later in the oven

    Lunch, salad sarnie dripping salad cream from the edges
    Dinner, some the cheapo ham, plus couple of fried eggs, HM AF chips & maybe some beans

    Good morning everyone,
    Sympathy on the snuffles Brambling, it's definitely that time of year for pollen and lurgies! Hope it's the former.
    Tesco have been and the groceries put away. A sit down and a cuppa are needed before I tackle some housework and try and get organised for Sunday. DS2 is just about to head off to help a mate fill a skip so I'm Hector sitting. He's just back from a walk so hopefully he'll be a bit calmer now as he was in "seek and destroy" mode earlier!
    Tomato and cucumber seeds finally got planted yesterday, they're in "protective custody" aka a large clear box to try and avoid Hector mangling them. 
    LO curry for lunch and dinner is usual Friday freezer rake.

    I fear it may be the lurgy, I'm not coughing so much but have the sniffles and a head ache today  :| so easy day for me and I'll play it by ear tomorrow, it's the baby's first birthday party Sunday so fingers crossed 🤞 

    i haven't really eaten much today, cereal for lunch and toast for dinner

    It has been the most beautiful spring day here, I’ve had the back door open while I pottered around at some chores, and really enjoyed walking into town to run some errands. 

    Picked up some fresh bread in town to have with tomato, feta and caper salad for lunch (used up ends of all 3 items). Treat tea of scampi, chips and peas 😉

    Supposed to be sunny today, but it's struggling at the moment

    Today is a Big Birthday, so it's down the posh pub for brunch courtesy of kiddy winks, plus all the grandchildren except one is working today, she works weekends in a garden centre so today is a very busy day for them

    Apart from that, I'll wait & see how the day goes
