Absolutely beautiful day (after the frost - was a bit surprised to be scraping the windscreen this morning!) - shame I’ve been in the office all day…
Nice productive day and very calm for a Monday.
Spiced roasted carrot, feta and lentil salad for lunch. Tuna and green bean pesto pasta tonight. LOs for tomorrow 😀1 -
I don't think we had frost here unless it disappeared early, but they say we may tomorrow 🥶 otherwise it was a lovely day just a shame I had to work
Work wasn't to busy, just a steady pace until 4.50 when we had IT issues which delayed us finishing logging until 6pm, we have users in the US so we had to chase down our IT developers to fix, they are in India so I think they were as pleased as we were!Small Amazon delivery this morning which turned out something completely random which related in no way to what I had ordered, twice as expensive when I looked it up but as I had no use for it I returned it, nice and easy via the PO, they print the label as well. Nothing important but ordered for convenience! According to them they sent what I ordered, we'll see what they say when they receive it
Spinach salad for lunch with blue cheese, Serrano ham and egg. Dinner a similar cheese and coleslaw jacket potato with tomato salad. LO lamb meatballs will have to wait until tomorrowLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I'm going to get ready and pick up the blood test form and then eat breakfast when I get home. It is very nice and sunny today.
I'm thinking of doing garlic mushrooms, avocado and chickpeas on toasted sourdough. I have so much food at the moment. I cleaned out the fridge and reorganised some of the food into clear boxes and it looks so much better! Oh yes, I have 4 peppers so I will have a pepper with the mushroom toast.
I have leftover HM lentil soup for lunch and a Quorn stir fry for dinner with rice noodles and a spicy coconut sauce.

Good morning everyone,
Chilly and overcast here this morning.
Didn't cook the curry yesterday as I discovered I had various lurking bits in the fridge needing used up so put together a quick bacon, mushroom, pea and creme fraiche pasta dish instead. LO pasta for lunch.
Domestic stuff for me today and then my sister and nephew are coming over for dinner. Cooked a pan of chilli con carne yesterday and DS2 made refried beans on Sunday so just the other side dishes to sort out later.

Beautiful sunny day here after a chilly start, I went into town for bits & bobs, compost form Home Bargains and posh grub from Marks, plus salady bits because although my Asda delivery is tomorrow I left salad off when they were OOS for toms & cuc it all seemed a bit pointless ordering when I had opportunity to select my own from MarksWent mad & bought a very expensive super posh Sirloin, it's a Big Birthday this Saturday, and although I'm being taken out for pub a lunch steak is not an option, it's sort of a Brunch menuGot plenty of salad items and some on offer chicken legs, and YS hot X bunsLunch was last of the HM lamb burgers followed by a hot X bunDinner, not sure, probably roast the chicken legs and maybe just gnaw on those?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Absolutely gorgeous day and I was wfh so got to put washing out - simple pleasures 🙃
Got everything done I needed to work wise plus phoned and got someone round to look at a bit of work that needs doing outside. Hate phoning tradesmen but all good and booked in for next week.
Finished on time as was off to the dentist, another filling needed - don’t know what’s going on with my teeth at the moment 🙄
LO pasta for lunch and just had beans with toast for early tea before swimming.0 -
I hope the super steak lives up to expectations Farway and not too tough on the teeth
It seems that April has arrived with good weather hopefully it will mean a good Easter, it's just a shame I'm stuck indoors working. Work is driving me slightly crazy at the moment and i'll be glad when it's 5 o'clock ThursdayI don't mind a colleague pulling the "I'm the more senior" card when the boss is on holiday if she wasn't skyping me continuously to run everything by me before doing anything
I hadn't made soup this week so lunch was another spinach salad, this one with cheese, egg and falafel. I was a big salad so i haven't fancied eating the LOs I had planned and dinner has been some fruit and a cuppa with a couple of biscuitsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
Wet and windy here today, DS2 has headed to look after Frank so I'm charge of Hector. I'm hoping for a quiet day as I'm very unsteady. I'm hoping it's just due to the weather system change and not the start of a flare up!
I deliberately over catered yesterday so there's enough beans and chilli left to do us another meal at some point and I'll use up the salady bits for lunches. Gammon and pineapple tonight with mushrooms, corn and baked potato wedges.0 -
Dull but sun is trying to sneak out, still chilly thoughThe Asda delivery arrived, minus the gammon on offer, good job I had anticipated that, so they can keep the gammon & I'll have posh Marks' steak instead
. I did send the eggs back with the driver, never really expecting those to arrive, so had bought some in Marks yesterday, I like eggs but two dozen when CFO is too many
A full fridge again, but some, like stewing steak has to move to freezer laterLunch last of the rolls, with cheese & maybe sliced tom fillingDinner, the other cold roasted Mark's chicken leg, very nice BTW, with HM AF chips and salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Well the rain arrived as forecast but fairly mild. Office today and nice and productive - there’s a lot of people on leave so all is relatively calm.More roast carrot, lentil and feta salad for lunch. Chicken and veg egg fried rice tonight.0
