Wind is getting up here and due to get worse later, so I suspect myself & Brambling will be hatches battened down tonight. Shame really because the cherry tree blossom over the road has only just opened, and it's now blowing off

It seems to be taking a while to arrive Farway, I was out this evening and just got in as the skys opened, it's cold out there and I can hear it getting windy ☔️🌬

Busy work day and I came back from a lunch  to 30 emails  :# tomorrow will be worst as there are only two of us working

When I was out I came back via the SMs to avoid going at the weekend, I wanted to see if Sainsbury had half price half leg of lamb but they only had whole leg which I didn't want.  Then into Waitrose but they only had a third off of lamb so their half legs were nearly the price of the Sainsbury legs 😐 if I planned to cook for the family I would have been tempted with a whole leg but not today.  I did end up with some great YS offers from Waitrose too good to pass up, £12 half side of salmon for £3, 4 corn fed free range chicken breast £4 instead of £10, chicken wings 50p and fish pie filling £1 (Salmon, cod and smoked haddock) as well as some YS fruit and veg. I hadn't planned to stock up my freezers but had to be done   :D

Lunch was using up the beans so beans on toast again.  LO Thai green curry for dinner do food wise a rinse and repeat of yesterday

Today's food is rinse & repeat of yesterday
Lunch, cheese spread & cuc sarnie
Dinner, slight change, gammon steak, nuked baked spud & salad bits
HM fruit crumble as "top up" if needed

    Good morning everyone,
Tesco are due soon and this afternoon my sister's pooch is getting dropped for an overnighter so doggy mayhem until tomorrow afternoon especially as DS1 and DIL-to-be are coming with Frank for lunch tomorrow. I could really do with sweeping and mopping through think that can wait!
Liver and bacon for me tonight. DS2 isn't keen but usually gets a takeaway on Fridays so an ideal chance for me to indulge. Cheese and crackers for lunch - for once there's no LOs!!

I got a pizza last night so I have a couple of slices leftover so that will be my brunch. I had a lie-in as I keep feeling tired since the clocks changed, I nearly had 10 hours sleep.

I have only had water and a glass of chocolate oat milk so far today. There isn't a storm here, but it is raining heavily.

  • Rainy on and off most of the day but fairly mild (no heating on during the day). Good wfh day and nice on time finish, popped out to do a small grocery shop at the end of the day.

Glad to have made it through this week, the clock change really threw me, and it’s been full on at work. Looking forward to a nice weekend.

Lunch was posh fishfingers in toasted pitta. Chargrilled tuna with lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight.

Wet and windy today, it's blowing a storm more than yesterday. Work was quieter than expected and we were able to escape on time  :)

I think I'm I've lost the plot, I can't find my kitchen bin (the inner container bit) I have a small double bin one half for general the other half for recycling. Dashing out last night I collected the rubbish so I could put out the wheelie bin and the only thing I can think I did was dumped it in the wheelie bin with the rubbish. I'm convinced I just took the bag out but obviously not  :s dustman come at 7am so by the time I noticed it too late  :/ and it's not that old!

I tried to pick up my repeat prescription lunch time but there was a note on the door saying their system was down, not urgent luckily so I'll try again tomorrow. I have just changed chemist as they have a large free car park next to it and my last one was a nightmare with a space for three and permit parking on the road,
    .
lunch was a burrata cheese (YS last night) and Serrano ham roll with olives and tomatoes.  I wasn't that hungry dinner time and had a boiled egg and soldiers with some fruit

    Good morning everyone,
Oh no re the bin Brambling - so easy to do!
Enjoying a quiet cuppa before the mayhem begins. Will just be two pooches as plans changed and I wasn't need to look after Ari. I'm hoping for lots of puppy cuddles.
I've put together a simple lunch - homemade smoked mackerel pate, egg, mayo, smoked salmon and salad. DS1 is picking up some nice bread from the Polish bakery near where they live. KFC fakeaway wraps for dinner.

Still raining first thing and very gloomy outside

My W8rose order arrived, no subs or out of stock items. But I had to send the on offer Gammon back, way over budget price I set, and left picker a note as well to say max price I would pay, completely ignored :s so back it went.

There are some items with Use By on 3rd, which is slightly annoying but not end of the world with a freezer. One is RM Liver & bacon, so not all bad, could be dinner tonight, but posh breaded cod fillet is the other short date so decision to be made later today

Lunch, now I have lamb mince and rolls it's HM lamb burger
Dinner, either ready meal liver & B or posh breaded cod fillet & HM AF chips + frozen peas

I had two toasted pitta breads and a glass of chocolate oat milk. Cup of coffee.

It isn't raining here, just dull and grey. I started watching Alien Covenant last night. It was okay for the first hour or so and then got so boring that I switched it off.

I just looked through a cookbook I bought for £1 the other day from a chazzer. Ferne Cotton - Happy Vegan. I was thinking of doing a tofu, potato and veg curry with rice, but I might alter it and use a recipe from the book.
