Thanks for all the lovely comments. I`m really getting into the scrapping bug again at the moment, as well as my cardmaking and trying to keep up with the allotment as well, it`s getting harder to fit everything in. So much to do, so little time and it`s half term next week, so got to keep the squirts occupied, which is always fun.
Can I ask a quick question or two? What camera do you use at the moment and do you print of your own photos, go on-line or use the machines you see in boots/tescos. I`m using a little Olympus fe-330 digital. I`m not that great at taking pictures most of the time anyway, but I just don`t seem to get great pictures. I also use photobox, they are great for quick delivery. I loved my old manual olympus 35mm, before it died on me, a few years ago and you could just aim, click and it would take great photos.
I just use a Sony DSC-W130 which was about £80 so a pretty cheap camera really. I'm happy with it so far. I'm sure I could get better photos if I knew what I was doing with the settings.
I've been printing photos for my 52 in 10 project on my Photosmart 7550. But I have a problem in that I can't get it to print properly from my mac, so I can only print 6x4s directly from a memory stick in the printer.
For my wedding scrapbook I wanted quality, so I've got the 7x9 (or 6x9 whatever size they are) from my photographer, and I've printed lots in 6x4 from Photobox - always happy with their service.
And to make some small pictures (almost passport size), I used Snapfish's collage feature. Now there is a better one I believe at Picasa which I think lets you choose what pic goes where in the collage (snapfish is random). But I couldn't get picasa to work with my mac or ubuntu at work
What's wrong with your pictures, MrsBsBlog?0 -
MrsBsBlog - I use a cheapish canon camera that my Mum bought from Asda for my Birthday. I am always annoyed at the quiality of my photos but I think that's more to do with the fact that my house is always dark with very little natural light. I have started taking pictures of my cards with them being surrounded by white card as a background which seems to make them look a bit better - a top tip from a scrapbooking friend!!! I normally get my pics proccessed at photobox too!0

I treated myself to a newish compact camera, a Samsung WB500, a few months ago and rather like it because it has a good wide angle. I mainly print my own photos on my Epson Stylus DX6050, but often use Photobox too. They are usually fine and very quick too. Wondering whether to try the photo service on Photobucket because I put all my pics for my blog on there so that would be convenient. Being scrapbooks, you need to make sure your photos last, (some of my previous printer photos have faded already!)I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0

I have just finished my first scrapbook for my brother's 40 th birthday. I really enjoyed making it and am pleased with how it turned out. It is quite plain but my brother is not really an embelishment kind of person plus once the photos were in there wasn't much room for anything else! I have pit pics on my blog

I intend to do 'family' ones for my sons and thought about doing one each for the teenage grandchildren (boy and girl) just about them...........I know grandson wouldn't like fussy pages.
Love the lettering you used -where did you get it ?I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Bunbun - your scrapbook is amazing - I can't believe how many pages you did - it must have taken you ages. I agree the letters look great and really add to the pages!
I've got an idea for a really cheap mini book - I'll keep you posted - it'll probably look stupid and end up in the bin.0 -
