Happy to help helping_hubby, although my style seems to be quite a bit different to yours!

Just popped on to your blog, you've got some good makes on there, I'm now another follower!

It would be good if we could get some other of the Liberty Cottage scrapbookers on here, giving us some tips and showing us some of their layouts too. ;)

Yes, I have a habit of going very simple and clean I think. Too clean. I'm trying to work on this. But I get scared of putting things on the page! Also I just feel that nothing I have co-ordinates with anything. I need more craft stuff!

I bought some Black Magic Core'dinations a while ago and I finally got some fine sand paper today. Hopefully I'll have some time this week I'll have a chance to emboss some and try sanding. Have no idea how I'm going to use the paper though.

Quiksave - its when I look at other people's layouts that I get intimidated - I decided to make a card instead - I find it easier at the minute because there's a smaller space to fill!!!!

Helping-Hubby - love the metallica page - that green looks fab against the black background!! Your other LO is lovely too - very subtle and classy! I always feel that my pages look too plain but I never know what to add to them!

Maybe, melissa, to start you off you could follow sketches like helping_hubby. I've never done that but fancy the idea. I would like to put less on my pages not more! :D

helping hubby - what beautiful pages :T
I intend to really do it 'proper' this year -do a sort of family scrapbook for my two sons for christmas covering all sorts from my childhood through till now..........bit of a chore maybe but if I keep it fairly simple I might be able to get it all in.
Must keep an eye on this thread;)

Quiksave - I've tried using sketches for my cards and they really help - I don't think I've ever tried with a LO - I'll have to give it a go!!!!

You should join Liberty Cottages (jamtarts) BY2010 project. I'm not really following it strictly but it's good to have some support and we're only doing 1 page per month. Although I'm trying to squeeze more in.
  • Hey guys

Complete scrapbook novice here............and I mean complete! Hoping someone can help me though, I was thinking of starting small........maybe a little book of quotes or something? I have lots of papers and some embellishments from some other projects. My problem is that I dont know where to get the little book thing (see I dont even know what its called!) I have tried looking on ebay but since Im not actually 100% sure what Im looking for it makes it hard :rotfl:

    Can anyone help me?

    Linz xox
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!
