  • Last time i ordered from mad about cards they had lots of craft storage bags and even had a trolley bag . see here just scroll down the page a bit. If you haven't bought from them before look for the little black banner at the top of the page and it'll tell you how to get 5% off your first order . plus Spend £25 or over on goods, enter the offer code choc25 at checkout and a Cadbury Advent Calendar
will be added to your order.

    Thank-you Craftgranny...will have a look. x

Thank you I like that idea.

My colour scheme was lilac at the wedding. I had planned on making the whole scrapbook lilac...but now I'm thinking it might be a bit much and maybe I should do each page different, I just don't know! I picked up some vellum and backing papers in silver/white/cream so far. Haven't actually found any nice lilac wedding-y designs yet.

I will visit that site. Thanks.

You could do some pages with the backing lilac and silver/white/cream accents or embellishments and then do others with silver/white or cream backing and go with the lilac embellishments that way it would all tie in and you maybe wouldn't get so bored with it. :D Plus if the photos are so big you don't want to spend out on expensive wedding papers as they will be mostly covered anyway ;) Maybe make some tags out of them to tuck behind the photos?

Thanks Woopidoo. I've just been through all my craft stuff tonight and I've actually found loads I can use :o I'd totally forgotten what I had, but I've found stickers, embellishments, bows in pinks, lilacs and wedding related stickers! Most of these have been given to me by a lovely lady who set me up with a shoebox crammed full of bits she didn't want and some of it are bits from some do craft Goody bags I bought when I first started out! It's amazing how you accumulate craft bits :o

I also found a scrapbooking magazine among my card mags (a job lot I got from ebay), and it has Wedding page examples and so I've got some ideas from there too.

I've got a small list of bits I still want to buy - some flat sequins for the center of flowers, some loose ribbon, some more special backing paper and I think that will do.

I'm really excited about doing this. I think afterwards I'll do a honeymoon scrapbook. Then I can work my way back through my holidays!! I can see that this may become addictive.

Latest page for my sisters scrapbook on my blog.

I've already asked on the card making tread but does anyone on here know wher I could get black glitter cardstock with low p&p - I only need a couple of sheets!
  • Love your scrapbook page, Dawn. Do you think the Cuttlebug and Alphabet dies are worth the cost? I'm starting up scrapbooking and really want a cuttlebug, but don't know if I can justify the cost....although it would be a birthday present :)

Sorry can't help with the black glitter paper.

  • I'm struggling with ideas for using a single large photo (9x7 on a 12x12).

Anyone done pages like this that can share? I've been through loads of pencillines sketches but none are suitable so far.

I've googled and come up with 2 sketches. But I'm going to need more ideas for my wedding album.
  • Scrapbooking ladies (and gents possibly) I have a scrapbooking question and cannot find an answer anywhere. I am making a mini book using a pre-made chipboard album. The problem is how do I neatly cut the holes in the cardstock so I can bind the book with the rings? I cannot think of a neat way but there must be something i'm not thinking of!
