I just did a 6 x 6 scrapbook for my Friend..........put Friendship on the front with some floral embellishments and on the inside a lot of quotes on friendship with more embelishments of different sorts.
Can't help you with pressie ideas I'm afraid but maybe the scrapbook would be enough for her:oI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Yeah I think I will just stick with the scrapbook...if you don't mind, I might steal your idea about quotes too?
My next question (haha, sorry!) is about ideas for my scrapbook for my partner. It's going to be about us, from when we met two years ago, to now. We've had a photoshoot, been on holiday, and he's nursed me through illness. We live together now. I'd love to have a pretty record, and we have some pictures, but not a huge amount. Any ideas?
Thanks so much everyoneSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
You could do a little write-up to go with the photos maybe ?I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I've just posted on the general occassion board, but then found this thread so I hope you don't mind a duplicate post!
Can anyone recommend a storage bag/tote for my paper craft things - rulers, glue etc? I'm looking for a big bum one that will sit on my desk and don't want to carry my books in it.
Thanks

Hi, can anyone help me?
I've started gathering bits together to make my Wedding Album which I want to scrapbook. I've not scrapbooked before but do make cards, so have some bits and pieces.
I was going to use my photo album which is stiff pages with that tissue paper type stuff to go over the top. I had planned on using embellishments but now I'm thinking long term it might not be a good idea because it might dent the other pages and photos?
So I was going to find flatter embellishments (bows, got some flowers on order) instead of gems.
So far I've put my photos in the album in the order I want to do it They are 8 x 5 inch I think, so quite large. The album is a bit smaller than 12 x 12, I'd say 11 x 11 inch. So I can fit 2 photos if I overlap them.
I've also reordered some photos in 6 x 4 too for some variation.
I've kept a few bits like the table name card, place names, an invite, etc which I hope to include on the appropriate pages.
I'm not really sure where I'm going with this thread...am I on the right track? Or am I missing something vital.
The other thing is the album must be 48 pages long...am I going to get bored? Should I get a new scrapbook which is shorter and then just stick the remainder of my photos in the photo album?
//Just to add, I am signed up to Jamtarts scrapbook challenge, I'm just trying to get a head start0 -
I think you are definitely on the right track, maybe get a notebook and jot down some thoughts, feelings, quotes or sayings that you can journal onto some of the pages. Maybe decide on a colour theme for your background papers? You can run ribbon or lace up the side of the photos as another flat embellishment - I do that quite a lot, you could also only adhere the photos on 3 sides making a pocket to tuck journalling or extra photos behind. Have you visited https://www.ukscrappers.co.uk? Sign up there and then type wedding into the gallery search box, you will find tons of beautiful pages for inspiration:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0

Thank you I like that idea.
My colour scheme was lilac at the wedding. I had planned on making the whole scrapbook lilac...but now I'm thinking it might be a bit much and maybe I should do each page different, I just don't know! I picked up some vellum and backing papers in silver/white/cream so far. Haven't actually found any nice lilac wedding-y designs yet.
I will visit that site. Thanks.0 -

Last time i ordered from mad about cards they had lots of craft storage bags and even had a trolley bag . see here just scroll down the page a bit. If you haven't bought from them before look for the little black banner at the top of the page and it'll tell you how to get 5% off your first order . plus Spend £25 or over on goods, enter the offer code choc25 at checkout and a Cadbury Advent Calendar
