dell dim 2400 £106 deal update

It's a truly awful set-up they've got. They just tell you something entirely different every time you sepak to them, insist you type all the order numbers etc into the phone then you have to give all this to each person you speak to anyway.

When I rang to query price on the PDF they said order had been cancelled and couldn't be reinstated. I eventually got someone at customer services who said he would reinstate it.

You've got to be very determined to get anywhere. I just keep telling myself Dell bankrolled Dubya, this is my revenge.

Please can you tell me how you get a pc for such a low price?

I've just been on the Dell site and can't see how to do it.

I keep getting passed from pillar to post - well India to Ireland.......

The latest is that they have promised to e mail or phone me Monday - we shall see. >:(

Had a result for the Dimension 4700 systems.
P4 2.8ghz+1gig of DDR2 Memory.

£235+£105 for 17" CRT

Had a phone call arranging delivery for Wednesday. RESULT!

We previously wrote to you to inform you that the Dimension system(s) you
selected when using the Dell UK web store required the selection of a 17"LCD
TV, when selecting the "No Monitor" option, which you omitted to do. Dell's
web store is designed to show repeated error messages when customers request
an invalid configuration. Despite these repeated error messages stating
that there was a compatibility error and requesting that the items
highlighted be addressed, some customers ignored this instruction and
continued to progress through the web store, which resulted in an invalid
system specification. We contacted you previously to point out this
anomaly.

As part of that communication, we requested that you confirm whether you
wanted to purchase the LCD TV for an additional £390.00 excluding VAT
(£458.25 including VAT) or to view a full list of monitors offerings and
prices online.

Since we have not received a communication from you or we have not been able
to contact you to clarify your request for the LCD TV or monitor, we will
not be proceeding with your request to purchase a Dimension. Should you
wish to purchase in the future, please refer to the Dell UK web store.

I replied with

I have contacted you on no less than 28 occassions. I have sent 5 emails in
the last week alone asking for 2 tft panels to be added to the order. I
even called up customercare 8 times and sales 3 times in the last week to
add the monitors on, yet on all occassions they have been unable to work out
how to add them on. I want to add 2 tft panels, please contact me on ***********. so we can continue with the order.


Really makes me angry that they lie sooo much and dont check their facts.
