dell dim 2400 £106 deal update

  • can anyone who bought the £106 PC please PM me a break down of the base unit which inc. the £40 off coupon.
    I am getting very frustrated with dell at the moment as they keep saying the base unit was £146 with the money off when I know it was £106.
    Also its more annoying when the Indian women just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again and doesnt understand what I am saying and vica versa.. why oh why do they use these call centres.

    My Email says Item No 235 11082 DHS Money off £60/£80 (inc VAT) perhaps that where the other £40 is coming from they appear to have Taken £80 off mine
  • i am still waiting for my call re the monitor upgrade. i can say that dell customer service is a disgrace. i have emailed them 6 times and phoned 4 times. each time i ring they say someone will call me back and this never happens.
    today i called again and i am still waiting for the return call. what other options do i have. why have i not received the upgrade call. until now all i have is an IR number. has anybody else received a call and all they had was this number.
    please update me >:(
  • This is my first dealing with Dell and I accept it is an abnormal introduction to the workings of the company. However I am stunned at their performance. Like previous posters I've emailed on numerous occasions without reply. I've received the call offering me the cheaper monitor but each time I've tried to get back I get passed on and left on hold. I've rung the UK based number and they claim they have no links with the Indian number (presumably their colleagues) and can't help. I've now just got an email saying "Our phone lines are not working. We would reach you once we resolve the issue." This has been for at least 3 days now.
    Now a bargain is a bargain but frankly I'm concerned that this organisation is in the early stages of meltdown. It appears to be a shambles. Whether or not I get my "dubious" deal is irrelevant. Dell seem to have major problems doing what they say they do and their Indian call centre is little more than a joke. Strong words but hey, feedback is a gift!

    I emailed them last Thuesday at 12 noon after reading on here about the cheap monitor, they called me back about an hour later and are delivering tomorrow, so I cant really complain

    wehey, i got 8 of them for extended family and friends and they have ran out of the 773 model monitor and are giving me the m783 model instead all for £212 a pc.

    delivering thursday.......dell seem to have got their act together from my point of view.

    I sent them about 8 e-mails with no response then I get a mail saying they will contact me on monday, last week. I get a call but the indian lady has no idea what the new figure of £424 (2 systems) is including. She says she will ring back in 5-10 minutes and after 10 hours I give up and send them a mail saying that if that price includes 2 monitors then I'll take it. This is at 8:30 on a monday evening, 25 minutes later I get the pdf with the full order details. Midday the next day I get a call from Walsh Western asking when I want them delivered!!!!! How can they be so crap and then be so dynamic. Good luck to the rest of you, just hang in there.

  • Just got the call from Dell today,.. order confirmed with the 17" monitor.. #212.31 total...

    So if you still haven't heard from dell - dont give up! Keep emailing... there is light at the end of the tunnel...

  • I am not quite sure how much they have taken off my account but I received the delivery of that system yesterday.

    I didnt have any calls from dell. I called them once and told them I dont want monitor and thats it. Didnt have any emails or anything and received the system yesterday!
