God what is it with girls?! They are a LOT worse than boys (speaking as a MUM to 2 adult boys and an 8 year old girl btw).

I've just had the same issue with mine and had to write to the school about a girl in my daughter's class who is giving her a hard time. She has little confidence at the best of times and the last thing she needs is this girl telling her she's this, that or the other. She threatened to hit her with a carrier bag with cans of juice in it and that was when I decided that either the school step in or I do, big time.

Thankfully the school appear to have dealt with it promptly, but if they hadn't ...all the pc crap could go right out the window as far as I'm concerned and I would deal direct with the other family myself...on their level......just so I could be sure they would understand me.

Bullying scars kids for life imo, they need us to make big enough waves to stop it as they cant do it for themselves.

Edit: Forgot to add that mine also went to Tae-Kwon Do (son was Scottish Champion for his age group at one point ......*swells with pride even years later, lol*) but daughter still didn't have the confidence that we hoped this would instill in her. She was only confident in the TKD class, but not outside of it, unfortunately.

VERYSKINT -no the girls name does not begin with O i thought the same thing as you as they both bully in the same way .Is your daughter changing schools then ? when is she changing as soon as possible or September ?

I would prefer my daughter to only start her new school in September as i really dont want her going back to her old school now but i dont know if the education board would allow this i need to find out but im not sure who i have to contact .

Hi all, just come back from school and speaking to another mum whose son is wanting to change schools because of this girl too. What do i do now as she has been told to stay away from my child and insists on following her telling her no one wants t be my daughters friend.

I would reassure your daughter that other children do want to be her friend and it is just this girl beign nasty. Difficult at such a young age to tell her to ignore it and just walk away and stay close to a teacher or supervisor.
I would contact the school again, probably by letter, outlining the latest incidents. Perhaps two copies one for the head master and one for the governors.
I would not care if I wrote a hundred letters, but they would and should know that there is still a problem and you are not going to let it drop.

Thankyou will do. I had a chat with the other mother this morning who is having problems and between us at least 7 mothers have been at various times about this child over the years and 6 of those were THIS year. What is going to take to get this girl removed from school!. The other mum who i spoke to is requesting another appointment with the head today, then after that i think we are going to the education department as we are sick to the back teeth of it now, but at least if there is at least 2 of us we can back each other up.

But you've said your daughter isn't being pullied physically. Assuming that applies to the others too, then I can't see any grounds for removing the girl from school. That would be an over-reaction, she should be made to see sense by the school of course, but not via an exclusion in this sort of case.

Is it just me or what is the difference if someone hits or mentally bullies someone its still plain old bullying. Also she is physical with some of the other kids. She knows exactly which buttons to press with each child. She has been told to stay away from at least 2 kids in the class, but still carries on doing exactly what she wants. In fact being calculating and knowing exactly how to bring other children to tears is just as bad if not worse. What exactly can the school do. Sit her down and ask her why she is doing it for her to say she cant remember and them to say dont do it again, it really makes my blood boil. Isnt bullying someone for 4 years constantly enough?

I really feel for you i see what you mean about because the child is not getting hit then they dont see it as bullying im on your side i completly disagree with these people bullying comes in many forms including being bullied mentally .I am afraid i had to change my daughter schools as her school too unless she is being physicaly hit they are not classing it as bullying which makes my blood boil too .I am hoping that the education board sees it from my point of you ,theres no way i am letting the school & these bullies get away with it .
