Hi
I bought some from the BBC Good Homes Show and have to say that they have made no difference to me !! I prefer to use the tumble dryer for my towels as I dont like them rough but they are no softer using the balls compare to not using them !!!!
I have heard that the washing balls are worth the money ?

I have a set and I think they do make a difference - clothes need far less ironing and my towels are noticeably softer without using fabric softener... our water is very hard here, so I don't know if that's why I've noticed a big difference? (Knocks out all the lime??!!) Usually our towels come out like sandpaper! I find that if you put stuff in the tumble drier for half an hour with the balls, then take it out and hang it up, it dries pretty much crease free and doesn't cost a fortune. I dry towels for longer but that's because they'd never dry otherwise. So I'm glad I got mine!!0

I line dry and use vinegar as a softener.
Never use a dryer.0 -

We line dry as well. Have no space for a dryer unless we put it in the shed like our neigbours...0 -
As you know, tumble driers wear clothes out a lot faster than line drying, but i would have thought the bumpy texture of the balls would wear out the clothes faster. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
