I have found that my clothes come out without the static cling that they used to have since I started using the JML ones.
Ialso think that they need less ironing, are not so crumpled.

I've got the tescos ones too, first time I used them was overnight and they kept me up they were so noisy! Didn't notice much difference at all but they're quite useful to put in the washing machine if you're washing a particularly dirty load. I use them whenever I'm washing my OH's work clothes as it helps "scrub" the dirt off and helped get rid of the mildew on my shower curtain that nothing else would shift.

I was looking in the Argos catalogue last night (why oh why?) and was sorely tempted by these so thank you all for helping me to resist! I've been trying the tip of putting a large dry towel in the tumble dryer and that seems to cut the drying time down, so I;ll stick to that.

Like others say, blinking noisy! Sounds like there is a little man putting shelves up in my tumble drier. To be honest I don't think they made any difference with drying time or static and I too shove in a big dry towel and this does cut down on drying time.

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Bought some JML ones a year ago and first time I used them they disintergrated and I had to return them to Woolworths for a refund. Luckily found all the bits so nothing got jammed in the machine

I forgot I started this thread ages ago, funny re-reading all the posts...as it happens my sister bought me the dryer balls as a present this Christmas - I only find them noisy for the first few minutes of drying, they are supposed to cut down the drying time by up to 25% but can't say I have noticed. I have stopped using softener though when I wash my towels and just use the dryer balls instead. Am happy with the results I get but probably wouldn't have bought them myself ever but happy with them as a gift.

I have found that the dryer balls really cut the drying time of cloth nappies and towels (line dry or airer for everything else).

I wouldn't use fabric conditioner on either of these (use white vinegar), so don't know how it would work making them softer, but the drying time is really reduced, at least 25% if not more. The noise doesn't bother me because there are two floors between me and the tumble drier at night and Baby TV covers a lot of noise during the day. Mind you, my tumble dryer is rubbish.
    Always another chapter
