Hi
We recently bought some dryer balls off ebay (was under £4.00) for 2 balls
we have started to use these and although I was sceptical they do seem to work and the drying time has reduced, because of this I started to wonder if 4 balls would be more effective than 2? now I dont really want a dryer full of balls but would 4 be more effective than the 2, how many does everyone else use
sorry for the silly question but thought it might be worthing asking
thanks

I can't answer your question (no tumble drier
) but can point you to this thread - Dryer balls
I'll merge them later, to keep ideas together.

Have had them for about 2 years now. Cannot say that they cut down the time the washing takes to dry but the towels do seem fluffier.
Not worth the £10 i paid though.

I paid a couple of pounds for my cheaper version from a cheapo shop and they do work but crikey they are noisy! I haven't yet tried this but i think they make loads of noise because the rubber/plastic/whatever they are made of, doesn't heat up for a while, once they are hot, they are more pliable and don't make nearly as much noise...so i'm thinking of sticking them in some hot water before i use them next time, to soften them up a bit. Don;t know if it would nullify the effects though.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I got mine from poundland and they are good - I wouldn't think that having 4 in would make much difference, but I have found another use for them - I put them in my washing machine when I have got a load of grubby whites and they work a treat in getting the clothes cleanBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I bought some dryer balls today in Tesco as they were selling them off. What I want to know is, I have a washer dryer so can I put the balls in whilst the washer is washing so it will continue through to the drying process or not?
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I have done this by accident. The washing, the washer and the balls survived the episode but it did sound like I was washing bricks. With my doddery washer, I daren't repeat the experiment.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
