what a load of rubbish1

the first time mI used them they exploded in the machine, was very dissapointed as I thought I had had them at a bargain at only £7 grrr

My advice would be to use tennis balls instead, they do the same job cost less and last forever
Hope you haven't been had by the balls lol

Hi natalie,

I've added your post onto a thread about dryer balls as it helps others to see all the opinions together.

There are more thoughts on these in this thread: Wash balls - Laundry balls - Eco balls

• I thought they were a complete waste of money. I had no reduction in dryer time and the noise drove me nuts!
My son now plays with them.....

I bought a pair from Lakeland and one of them got a split in it, and then a bit later it completely disintegrated when in use, which was fun picking that out of all my clothes. I sent an email to Lakeland and they sent me a new set, and these so far have stayed whole. I do notice an improvement in drying time (I can't find any access to the fluff filter on my machine but I am sure its clogged - its taking 3 hours or so to dry a half load  - I've asked the agent if somone can take a look at it, or does anyone here have a manual for an indesit omega 1200?) so thats got to be a plus.
• My dryer balls make the towels softer and I have noticed a reduction in drying time - I might add that I only use the dryer on towels bedcovers/sheets and as I am stuck in a flat and its too rainy and wet at the moment to dry big things I thought they were worth it.
• Has any one tried those JML balls for tumble dryers?

My dryer is supposed to be reverse air to stop things geting tangled, but whenever I put sheets in they end up in a tight ball and take ages to dry,due to me having to keep stopping and unravelling them.

According to the blurb on the box they stop things getting tangled and make things softer, is this so or has anyone got a tip on how to stop this happening in the first place????

Hi

I have used the jml balls for a month or so and am pleased with overall effect especially as i use energy efficient cycle which used to make stuff quite creased, i'm finding it's less creased, less static and overall softer, no fragrance but not worried about that.

Hello The Bargain Hunters

As there is a current thread 'Tumble Dryer balls' in the 'Old Style' board, I'll move your thread across...........and the board guides may want to merge them together.;)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Regards
