Hi I am very much a lurker on the Old Style Board. My mum got a halogen oven today and the book that came with it is useless. She wants to make pizza in it tonight so I am wondering if you wonderful people can help me.
P.S. I mean a home made pizza“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Unless you've got a pizza stone I think you're likely to get a "soggy bottom". I haven't tried pizza myself yet but as I don't mind if the bottom is a bit soft I would just put it on the solid tray on the bottom shelf of the oven and cook it at about 200.
If it looks cooked but not browned enough then take it out and put the top rack in and place the try on that so that it is closer to the heat and it will brown it very quickly.

The book I've got just has a frozen pizza mentioned. For those you have it at 250 degrees and it takes 5-7 minutes, but the instructions are a bit bizarre - it says to put the pizza on the rack inside a bowl, then to put the tall rack on top to stop the toppings blowing about.0

Mum said thanks that is what she needed to hear. I am really grateful, if I am honest the oven looks very space agey lol“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. First one was cooked at 12 mins at 220 and the bases seem very soft but it is cooked and youngest sis seems to love it. Mum is determined to perfect it. Would a pizza stone fit ok in the oven?“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. You'll need to measure the width of the shelf - it's probably about 11" if you've got the 12L model. I think you can probably get a pizza stone that size.

Thanks for that, she said she is gonna look for one tomorrow.“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Just taken delivery of an air fryer ring accessorie from Coopers of Stortford, not actually used it yet, but it's supposed to make a halogen into something approaching a Tefal Actifry - fir £9.99...
Did sime oopsied chicken nuggets from Asda and some McCain oven chips, 20 mins on about 180 degrees. The chips were only just done and could probably have done with another 10 mins maybePlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
