Anyone know when I can expect to hear from them, or get my account up and running? Get paid start of next week, so could do with letting work know my new details!
Hi,
I've got a step account. Like you, I did it all online and got the documents to sign a few days later. The account was active within about a week, but I had to wait a bit longer for my solo debit card to arrive. Their internet banking is really good and I've had no problems at all with them and it has been running for a year now.
Hope this helps,

Good Morning Everyone,
I had a phone call last night from Robinson Way. My boyfriend answered the phone and I've never heard of them so he took a message. They wouldn't tell him what it was about but gave him a phone number, they said I should know what it's about as they've been writing to me. I called them back and they asked me to confirm my D.O.B and address which I wouldn't do as I 'd never heard of them before and he said you should have as we've been writing to your home address. I said I hadn't received anything and then he came back with, "you probably haven't received the 1st letter yet, this is a call in advance of the corrspondance". I've told them I'll wait for the letter and goodbye. I thought it was well out of order and when I get a letter I'll be writing back telling them not to call me again.
I have no idea what debt they are for but have a feeling it could be my Natwest Loan/Overdraft.
Anyone else had any dealings with them?
Has anyone delt with these before. Just concerned because if it is Natwest, they are my biggest creditor. I owe them about £4500 all together and so far I have heard nothing at all from Natwest and have been on the DMP since May.

I don't have any personal experience with Robinson Way (well, not yet
) but I've found several threads referring to them dealing with debt collection for NatWest (see below for some) so it *might* be for that.

However .. this job advert http://www.mymanchesterjobs.co.uk/Jobsite/Recruiter/1795/London-Scottish-Bank-Robinson-Way (yes! you could go *work* for them) says:
About Robinson Way
Robinson Way is the Debt Collection division of London Scottish Bank. We currently collect debt on behalf of 200 clients ranging from High Street Banks, Utility Companies, Mobile Phone Companies and many more. The primary collection method is through the Telephone Negotiators in our Collections Centre and Correspondence Operation.
They also go on to say:
We are always on the lookout for highly motivated people who can add to our already successful and friendly teams.
lol A "friendly" DCA? Friendly to whom, exactly?? :rotfl:
Hope that helps a bit ...

hiya,
well done on not answering quite personal info without you aware of who they were and not a very good first impression by them neither!
it could be who you think they are - i dont know who they represent or if they have had the debt sold to them
if you are not a member of www.consumeractiongroup.com
there is a lot of threads for this robinson firm, maybe worth investigating there a bit to get to know more about them
i dont have any debts with natwest so no knowledge of robinson way neither.
However, if you wish to have a good letter to send to them one of my usual ones i use for not calling all in writing and do not have any ideas on sending someone to my home neither type of reply, am happy to send to you -
keep you wits about you and i can only recommend keep all in writing and send recorded delivery so you have a paper trail, good advice given to me and im so grateful now
keep happy ciao for now maz
PS now ive seen the previous post by Althea.....dont call them you will be there hours on the phone,,,lol chat later ciao mazSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

Hi Everyone,
Havemt been on for a while so it will take me some time to catch up!
I started my DMP in August, I havent had any acceptance from any of my creditors, Im still getting statements with late and overlimit fee4s added. My payments are going to Payplan every month, although i have had to lower my monthly payment from £500 to £300, I spoke to playplan and explained to them about the creditcrunch etc, petrol, food, gas and elec, they said it was fine and someone from payplan would be contacting me, this was 2 weeks ago...!!!...Ive heard diddely squat!!!...I made my payment on 15th to payplan and looked on justabank today and i couldnt believe my eyes, £11.67 had credited my justabank account not £300...I emailed them asking what the hell is going on, suprise suprise no one has come back to me...
Has anyone else had any problems with Payplan????
Also i want to try and reclaim my charges, can anyone tell me how i go about this???
Im starting to feel really depressed as my debt seems to be increasing with charges not decreasing....HELP...!!!

Hi pink,
Sorry no experience of payplan but...
With my DMP several creditors took 3-4 months to stop charges (specifically Mint, GE Money), so don't lose heart just yet. You have to let it ride out a few months usually as they won't take action until they are sure you are actually planning to pay via the DMP.
With Mint, from these forums, it looks like their standard practice is to issue a default notice after about 4 months on the DMP, then when you get that the following month interest stops.
Chill for a little while and see what happens - difficult to do, I knowworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

I'm with CCCS so can't help re Payplan.
I wouldn't bother claiming back charges until they have stopped charging them or you'll end up having to do it all over again. Just keep sending them letter asking them to stop charging etc for the time being.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0
