I would recommend totalpda.co.uk of Glasgow. I bought a TomTom One v2 GB which was 100% fully factory refurbished and tested by Tom Tom themselves with 1 years warranty for £49.99 plus £9.95 for delivery. It came in a sealed new box and I could not tell it wasn't a brand new product.0

It steadfastly refused to let us use an A road or Mway. Took me on a 2 mile detour of the town, where 400yds would have got me to where I wanted to go. We even followed instructions and went up someone's drive! We took it back, they reset and we tried a known route. It takes me 45 minutes and TT 2.5 hours, again, only up dirt tracks and country lanes. They replaced it (2 week wait) and the 2nd one we had squeeled all the time, couldn't find any satelites and then when it did, played the same country lane game. Took it back and eventually got a refund after much arguing with managers etc. It put me off TT. I would like a reliable sat nav. Was i unlucky or have a high % worse navigational skills than me? Will Amazon take it back if I get another duff sat nav? I live near Weston-s-Mare, not in the middle of nowhere.0

CHECK THAT A ROADS AND M/WAYS HAVE NOT BEEN TURNED OFF/DISABLED IN THE PREFERENCES PART OF THE MENU
We had Halfords check that for us. They hadn't been. We gave up and asked for our money back. Just wondering whether we were unlucky, or whether a lot of them have problems. Sorry, have very little experience of them.0 -
If ur looking for a basic sat nav the Navman website has an F10(refurbished) for £29.

If you're after a higher-spec one, I picked up a TomTom Go 920T in Curry's last night (in anger - my Mio broke on me when I was in the middle of nowhere!) for just £199.99
It's an "old" model, hence it was a lot cheaper than the comparitively high-spec TomToms but I am really pleased with it - it is pretty sophisticated and easy to use and has Europe and USA maps too.
It got me back home just fine, thank god, as had been relying on my Mio up until then so literally had no idea where I was........always a bad idea to not put your usual road atlas in your hire car!!!0 -
I'm not sure where to post this so I'll try here. I'm going to the US in a couple months and will be needing a satnav. The hire car might have one but can't be gauranteed, if it doesn't Dollar quotes $11.99 a day for a satnav, which for two weeks would be uneconomical. I have a Navman F20 but the US card for this is £50. Anyone any ideas on what to do?0

Almost every product, repacked or standard on their site seems to be out of stock.0 -
Despite having read a number of sites and looked through a few forums.0

The previous TomTom x20 range is the best bet at the moment if you are happy to pay more than £125.
I say that as they come with a free upgrade to the latest maps which all give you Lane Guidance (shows which lane to be in at multi-lane junctions) and IQ routes (time sensitive routing so rush hour journeys are not though busy routes). They also speak out the road names and road numbers so you can effectively drive without looking at the screen.
There are other bits like it actas as a hands free for your phone and is a music player for iTunes.
I got my TomTom 520 new from Ebay (about £130) and that post above for the TomTom 920 for £199 is good value as it has Europe + USA maps.
This is were I got mine (as they are new) but there are lods of refurbished ones for around £100 too.
