I don't have a better deal to offer but I feel a bit wary of getting cheap Sat-Navs. When Asda bought the £100 Sat-nav out I went straight out and bought it.

The problem is, you can't update the map. Less than two years later I'm driving up to roundabouts and my Satnav thinks they're cross road junctions and even driven down newish roads and watched myself float across a field on my Satnav display.

Might have been better to pay a bit more for something that I can rely on to still be up to date years down the line.

I dont have a better deal but The Navi-go from E-Buyer at £59.99 is the best value for money. Watch out for deals as it has been on special a few months back at £49.99.

The pre-installed Sat Nav software isn't the best in the world but it can be very easily converted to becaome a Windows CE PDA. This enables you to install all manner of other software* including Tom Tom, Miomap, Igo8, Route 66 etc. as well as games, MP3's and Video clips etc.

Search the E-buyer Forum or google for loads of information and recomendations on this little unit.

*(Legal Footnote: You should have legal copies of some software before installing.)

  • Hi.
I'm after a motorbike sat nav. Pref a garmin zumo 550 or Tomtom rider with Europe maps. it MUST have bluetooth though as dont want trailing wires and not keen on having it in sight. If I need to use it, I can listen to the directions via blue tooth.
    Looking to pay £160 tops.
Any other blue tooth with POI and speedcameras considered providing it has a long battery life.
    Suggestions please

    Hello moneysavers

It may not be cheaper ..... but Amazon are currently selling the Garmin Nuvi 250 in the much less lurid standard grey colour for not very much more at £104.80. I reckon its definitely worth the extra given Amazon's good reputation for being able to return faulty goods etc.
They are also offering a nice leather case for an additional £11.69
All the shop assistants I've ever spoken to have always recommended Garmin as being the best brand available.
    You should find it here:

Unfortunately only available in their stores now, but you can reserve it online first.
  • TomTom One V3 is £99.99 instore at halfords, also same price via their web site with free delivery and 4% via Quidco.

eBuyer have the navigator pack, which includes a case for £102.99.

I've been looking around and see V4 is out already, do you get the free map updates if you buy the V3, even though V4 is already on sale?

M&S have sat navs on offer which means they have a Garmin 250 limited edition one with full UK & Europe for under £100.
