The Widescreen version of the Navigo is now reduced to an unbelievable price:

I bought mine few weeks ago (when at its full price:mad:) but no regrets as I have TomTom, MioMap and iGO8 installed on widescreen which is superb.
Highly recommended.
I ordered the navigo on monday at full price, noticed on tuesday they had reduced the price by fifteen quid so phoned them (0871 number:mad: ) and asked them to match the price for my order and they did..................result:j. Phone call was less then 4 minutes so even taking this into acount still saved money.:DProud to be dealing with my debtCCCS member, Debt free wannable nerd 1237Combined debt total=[STRIKE]sept 09 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£5679.27[/STRIKE] Nov 09 £4599.46DFD [STRIKE]SEP [/STRIKE] OCT 2012:huh:0 -
For anyone looking for a good price on any of the "top name" models (e.g. TomTom, Garmin and Sony) it may be worth trying Halfords for a price match.
From jon_r's recommendations above (and my own past experience of Garmin's excellent customer service) I decided to get a Garmin Nuvi 250W to replace my aging TomTom.
Found the cheapest online price (£129.99 from The Link) and then asked my local Halfords if they would price match. Although their official company policy is to price match only in-store prices, they agreed to anyway (saving £10).
At the moment, Garmin seem to be a lot cheaper than TomTom if you want a receiver with both Europe maps and an SD card slot (which, unless changed in the V4 models, the basic TT One does not have).0 -
Advert for Comet on tv this evening and they have the TomTom Europe for £119 and they said that includes traffic updates. I can't see one on their site that mentions traffic updates but is this a good deal ?
Probably V3 tomtom0 -

Brilliant JerryMartin.
One of those is the one I meant (the top one).
And they both look like the way to get the best deal:beer:0 -
I have been looking for a sat nav which covers europe as well as the uk.
I have no idea really what im looking at in terms of technical stuff and need help.
I want one that lets you know when there are problems with traffic en route and also speed camera alerts. Also im sure ive read that even if you buy a europe one you need to buy a card or software in addition?!
Are the tom tom ones better? I just want one that i can plug in and go!
PLEASE HELP
TomTom are great, so simple to use.
You either need to buy the "safety" camera update annually OR buy the "traffic" model.
I DON'T KNOW THIS BUT, I suspect that if you buy the "traffic" model, you prob need to buy the safety camera updates after the first year.
Can anyone advise on this?0 -
