My sis saw Gok in the flesh (but not the buff) at Bluewater! She loves him and said he is just like he is on tv in 'real' life

johanne - hugs. No advice to offer, as only you can tell what is best for you, your partner and your daughter.

I've had quite a nice day. DS1 was off on a whole day course, so it was just DS2, still not feeling well, and DD, who was completely shattered because she got no sleep the night before, as she and her friend stayed up talking until 5am. I wasn't terribly sympathetic.

I had a couple of hours on the allotment as the promised rain didn't materialise. I planted out all the courgette, tomato and squash plants, as well as the autumn and winiter cabbages, and cleared about a third of a weedy bed - just the rest of that bed, two more half beds, and then it will all be clear.

After lunch I took DD over to the retail outlet, but she failed to find anything she liked. I, however, came home with towels and new shower mat from Christy - I try to buy a set of hand and bath towels in cream every time we go - and also a white sleeveless linen top from M&S, which will be great for Spain - and any warm weather we may be lucky enough to get here!

I have washed the boys' bedlinen, but they can do their own rooms. I think hiring a skip may be the only solution for DD's room.

Must go wash up then have a cup of tea. I'm doing the weekly shopping tomorrow morning, then must go downtown with DD to see if I can persuade her to buy a top or dress she saw yesterday, and look at the shorts I found and see if she approves.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Well we didn't watch Star Wars, we went to my mums instead by DD's request. She did ask this morning but I said "We'll see - depends on what mood you come home from school in" ;) So no jobs done but hey ho I don't really mind :rotfl::rotfl: Off to chase DD to bed and then sit down to watch NCIS.

    Hi all!

Johanne - big hugs to you, you've got to do whats right for you and the wee one, good luck huni, remember we are all here for you.

Well, we have found out that the house in Elgin is empty and available, so I'm going to phone on Monday morning to see if we can get lucky. DH is also making a couple of phone calls to see if he can get the discharged suspended pending the investigation (which could take ages) so that he could get his pay reinstated, and we would at least have some money to live on.

Found out today that removals can't be guaranteed till August! Grrr well if they think i'm moving to uk without my stuff, then they have another thing coming! DH used to deal with removals and knows that they are allowed to get another company to move us. Gonna dig my heels in for that!

Also got in touch with my MP and MEP, the scottish parliament was no help as military matters are generally for london. So waiting for them to get back to me!

Fingers crossed - we may have news on monday! Until then, we are just going to crack on with packing tomorrow and try to get stuff sorted for moving.

Thanks to you all for the support - I really don't think I would have managed to cope this week without you guys. Thanks!

  • A question ladies, for the more generously curvy amongst us - what is la redoute like for plus size? Comes up big or small against UK brands?

And the kids stuff - any good for real skinnies?

    thanks

    Moam

back to look at some more!
