No need to freeze them dusty, just send them to me ;) I love broad beans.

I've wiped down all the cupboard fronts in the kitchen, cleaned the tiles, small appliances and large. I normally do it Monday morning but I was feeling a bit bored and stiff from sitting at the computer so I thought it would stretch me out a bit. I'll be glad tomorrow when I just have to S&S and vacuum. I've been really good with my new cooker (had it about 5 weeks now) and wiped the top every time I use it, which I've always done anyway, but more surprisingly I've wiped the oven out every time it's been used. Not sure how long it will last....

Just popped back on as I thought I'd catch next week's thread but we're still on this one so it'll have to wait until the morning.

Between us, DH and I have done a load of ironing although there's still a load more to be done. I've been to Mr Ts and Home Bargains and done numerous washes. Apart from that I've done nothing!

Never mind - tomorrow's another day.

Pooh - did you get your wii you won yet? I am going to have a turn later as I am still pondering wii fit - might go halves with a friend and share it - certain days each might make us more likely to do it.
Did you notice I haven't been around much? I got the Wii on Thursday and have done no flying since!

Well good evening to you all! Went to my mates house and gave her a big basket of DD2's old pj's and some dresses for her DD3! So that has left a big space in my bedroom! DH has been doing laundry all day (once he worked out how to use the WM and TD!). My only gripe is that he is washing everything together, not keeping socks and undies separate. So I'll have to sort thru all that later.

He is sat on his behind watching tv just now so going to go upstairs and get on with sorting thru all the washing and trying to pair socks up! Kiddiewinkles are asleep, DD1 has a school trip tomorrow so no uniform needed and DD2 doesn't wear uniform yet so thats all sorted.

And we got a call tonight that the British Legion guy is coming to see us on tuesday to see if they can help us in any way (fingers crossed).

Got loads of calls to make in the morning, re housing and stuff, and DH has a call to make to see if he can get this postponed pending the investigation that's supposed to happen. I'm just waiting for a call back from my MP and MEP as well to see if they can help in any way to put a stop to the discharge.

I mean what happens in 6 months time if the investigation finds in DH's favour? They going to welcome him back with open arms?! No we would be going for mucho compensation from them. Better they let us move back to UK with full pay, and wait for the outcome of the investigation. That way we could at least survive as I could get myself a job and save as much as possible.

Anyhow, fingers crossed this high ranking whoever DH has to call will be a bit more sympathetic and able to help than the ones here, who are just full of kind words and no action!

pigpen - love the killer cat! he reminds me of my cat i had before i got married, except the dress part lol.

Right, am off, see you all later, or tomorrow (I might fall asleep!)

Not sure if we're still here or over on the new thread...

Thank you to everyone for the good wishes! I'm a little doubtful that this minibreak will be very restful - or only in the sense that a change is as good as a rest! I have a feeling that DD and her three friends willl be very excited and very lively! We get there in time for dinner, then off out to explore no doubt. Beach, shopping, out in the evening on Tueday, and more of the same on Wednesday I expect, and almost a full day as we don't leave till 6pm.

I have had a lovely day, gardening on the allotment this morning, then in the greenhouse and garden at home most of the afternoon.

I have sorted out everything ready to pack, and am just going to double check all the tickets/reservations/passports/etc etc.

I'm not sure I'll have time to pop in tomorrow, so will rejoin you, slightly suntanned, and totally shattered on Thursday! Have a good week.
