I spent some more time in the garden, hacked back the weigela. Didn't make an expert job because it's got very tall and I just had to wave the long handled shears about in the air and cut back what I could. I've filled the green wheelie bin though (gets emptied Tuesday). Then I had a half hour snooze on the bed with the cat.

Tried to read outside but it's seems to be getting even windier. The sun is nice though.

DH has watched the MotoGP and is now watching the Grand Prix which he taped :(

Afternoon all, just having a cuppa, not sure where the day has gone to but glad I spent some of it with Nan.

Done my Tesco shop - one of my £5 off doesn't start until tomorrow - so I went to customer service and returned all the washing powder - it was to stock up cause I could get a £5 off so will go back next week. Need to get another NoW coupon now - wonder if corner shop will have any papers left in the morning.

Just going to peek at my list and then prepare dinner. OH at the pool with DS1&3 on free swim coupons. DS2 has hurt his knee so on the PS2.

Pooh - did you get your wii you won yet? I am going to have a turn later as I am still pondering wii fit - might go halves with a friend and share it - certain days each might make us more likely to do it.

I ache more than I did this morning but at least it was for a good cause.

I think i'm going to kill my OH. He's decided that the conservatory was a mess - yes i'd agree but so are other rooms in the house that are used slightly more often! He's proceeded to dismantle the football table because he never sees them play it ... that's because he's either at work or the allotment so how can he see them use it. He's also taken the lights down. I used the conservatory to dry clothes as we don't use it as much as other rooms and things can dry quickly. Oh no, not anymore...now he wants them to dry somewhere else. He's shoved the carp (mostly his) in the living room including a big vat of brewing elderflower champagne and all the bottles for that and the dismantled football table which he now won't get round to finding a new home for. Aggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Ok, need to revise again xx

    hello all,

we decided to walk a bit less in the end and did 10 miles, but did it in just under 3 hours so very pleased. Bit sweaty now though so going to have a shower (feels a bit warm for a bath. DH is doing some study, though he's in a bit of a grump as the stereo in the spare room seems to have lost its lead for some reason...I suggested using the one from the kitchen radio but that is far too difficult apparently - MEN!!!! grrrr.

not a lot to do in terms of jobs, we're pretty on top of things. need to sort the dinner, and do some pasta for lunches this week - anyone know how long it will be ok for in the fridge - with or without pesto? wondered how many days i could make at once.

might also look through my recipe books and come up with some new things for the food plans.

Grrrrrrrrr I have ust spent the last 2.5 hrs printing pics with A. Don't get me wrong I don't mind doing it but I wanted her to be able to do it on her PC. Had bought the paper, she has my old HP printer full of ink etc but the really easy s/w I use will not work with the HP printer (I have a canon) so had to do them all on here  135 pics we have printed  4 to a page which now need chopping up so she can put them in her album to take to school!

I now NEED a drink! And probably need to order a load more ink for this printer. Oh well cest la vie. Just seen the time so will set her on with that task and start some dinner. W is playing a Thomas game on A's pc so all are happy.

I'm officially pooped. I went off into the garden after my last post and I have cleaned all the garden furniture (two benches, six chairs, one little, one medium and one large table). I used a good squirt of stardrops in some hot water and one of those spondex scourer thingies - the winter's green lichen came off a treat!

Then I hosed them down to rinse them then when they'd dried I sprayed oil thingy on them and rubbed it in. Then I sorted out the side yard - threw some stuff in the bin, rehomed other stuff.

Humped some stones and plant pots around, cleaned the barbecue (which hadn't been cleaned since the last barbecue last year :o) and its cover. I put the griddle thingies in the bath with some biological soap power for an hour and they've cleaned up a treat. I then, of course, had to clean the bath!

The weather had better be fine next Saturday when the family come down for the Official French Door opening ceremonial barbecue or I'll have a hissy fit...

BstFUpRd phoned (she's been in France all last week) so while I chatted to her I swished and swiped the kitchen and put the chicken in the oven to roast.

I'm now going to water the plants in the garden with a large G&T in my hand (I've earned it!) then think about assembling the rest of the roast dinner. I've not done any of the paper work stuff I should have done this weekend (like VAT returns etc) but I can do that in the week.

Off to pour that alcohol -

    Way to go Soappie

I've tied everywhere up now and dinner in the AGA.

Kids need to pick some strawberries. I need to water the garden, the wind is not good for my veggie patch.

Massive pile of ironing for later.

? neighbour has given me heaps on braod beans - can I freeze? If so what do I do?
