Welcome Joanie
Electra - not sure on this thread, but if you hop over to the Grocery Challenge, there are loads of people who grow their own in pots. A lot of people arent allowed to plant things because they are in rented/army accomomodation. There is also a Green Fingered board0 -
Hello everyone - ((hugs)) to those who need them (suzi, Anw's mum, Johanne and anyone else).
Germish - WELL DONE on getting 100% in the computer exam!
Electra - what did you do with the chicken?
Lil_me - glad you had a good caravaning break.
I finished off most of my list, except for de-webbing.
I was just putting the ironing away when DD2 came running in screaming - she had been playing in the shed (not allowed but...) and had upended a whole thing of cuprinol fence preserver all over her - she must have been messing because the lid was on tight and it was on the top shelf out of reach of little hands... There was red cedar fence stuff all through the kitchen and hall, all over her hair, her face and all over her new school dress, socks and shoes. I had to shower her off and just put all the clothes and towels into the washer with daz and vanish and am hoping for the best. I then had to clean all the floors again and go and repair the damage in the shed.
The joiner came round tonight to give me a price for making a built in bed unit in DD2's room - he reckons about £175 for all materials and labour and that includes new laminate flooring. He is only young (about 25ish and "proper fit" as DD1 would say) and I was watching him measuring up wondering why I couldn't have met someone lilke him 20 years ago instead of the philandering fireman who couldn't control his hose:rolleyes:
Pigpen/SSL - who's the Evertonian then? I have always been an Evertonian!
Hope you are all having a nice evening.Jane

Ive been with virgin and still am for my internet.. but guess my opinion dont count eh sis?
Surely checking out martins article for cheapest broadband available and cheapest phone calls would be better?? http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/home-phone-calls Then use freeview for TV. Afterall im guessing your looking to cut costs, and are on benefits so fancy TV should be a last priority really! Plus between your OU course, new found social life, spending quality time with DD and when your new-deal course starts in sept.. you wont have time to watch TV surely?!
(We only pay £10 for net off virgin, £10.50 for BT line rental.. £3 max for calls using 18185 etc and we have 2 freeview boxes for our tvs)
Oh SHUSHI'm looking at all the options available to me and weighing up the pros and cons of all of them. I need to get cheaper internet and a new freeview box anyway so was only curious about feedback on Virgin and basic sky package

That would be mePigpen is a closet Hull fan and we are going to stay at hers after the game
How lovely to have another Evertonian here. Ashbart is as well, but I havent seen her for a while. Obviously, I dont get to that many games, maybe 5 or 6 a season, but I have Sky Sports
