DD is having a fine time since I can't really shout - I sort of croak with a fierce look on my face :rotfl::rotfl: Thankfully basic sign language and spelling words to her is working and we're managing. Banging on the wall instead of shouting her up the stairs is also working. When I have to I just clap LOUDLY
Currently she's watching Attack of the Clones while we wait for our fish & chips to cook.
Got a leaflet through the door today advertising Virginmedia Broadband, TV and phone for £27 a month... debating about it as I'm currently paying £15 for internet alone then another £25 for BT. Anyone any experience of them? Its that or Sky...I'm tempted by the Sky+ service
Best go and check on our tea :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've got Virgin TV, phones and broadband package Nicki - working fine for me.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Nicki, we pay £38 per month for sky tv with sports, (think the minimum package is £16). That includes free broadband and sky talk which means free evening & weekend calls to landlines. Other than that we pay BT line rental - about £11.50 per month - and for calls to mobiles & daytime landlines we use 18185.com (see martins home phones article) Works out best for us as DH insists on having sky.
ETA: If you do take out sky last time I looked quidco were offering £150 cashback!!!0 -
I've got the TV, phone and broadband as well and it works fine, not had any problems with it, I prefer it to Sky, and you get BBC iplayer on Virgin as well, quite handy if you miss Doctor Who or something else important.
I'm home from work and once I've had a cup of tea plan to have a little tidy in the larder as its become rather disorganised and I have no idea what's in there.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650 -
We have virgin - really slow internet on the weekend and sometimes mail down for no reason. TV only the odd problem and we just reset it.
DS2 at cricket, DS3 at Beavers, DS1 doing homework. Just been to sainsburys on the way back to get a few bits. Just going to tip some water on my seedlings and then back out to collect DS3.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Ive been with virgin and still am for my internet.. but guess my opinion dont count eh sis?
Surely checking out martins article for cheapest broadband available and cheapest phone calls would be better?? http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/home-phone-calls Then use freeview for TV. Afterall im guessing your looking to cut costs, and are on benefits so fancy TV should be a last priority really! Plus between your OU course, new found social life, spending quality time with DD and when your new-deal course starts in sept.. you wont have time to watch TV surely?!
(We only pay £10 for net off virgin, £10.50 for BT line rental.. £3 max for calls using 18185 etc and we have 2 freeview boxes for our tvs)0 -

No word from the potential buyers so it looks like I'm going ahead with renting w.e.f 5 July  Not really giving me much time, especially as I'm in Liverpool next week. I'm planning on going to Barton Square at the Trafford Centre. Has anyone been there?
