suzieq hugs to you all, you have a lot to deal with.
Hugs to anyone else who needs them. Thanks Johanne for the story about going out yesterday and being tearful. I was beginning to think it was only me who gets like that. Yesterday was my first father's day too without my dad and it was truly wierd, trying to be jolly for DH and the kids. I decided to drink when we went for our meal, which I don't do a lot now and I did get a bit carried away and was over jolly to compensate. Anyway I slept well last night and woke up and forgot it was DH's b'day to start with. OOps!
WE are going to make DHs favourite dinner for tonight. It is steak and kidney pudding, steamed! I hope I can remember how to make it.
My own list
Go to gym-forgot to go!!
water hanging baskets and tubs
transplant brocolli and lettuce-maybe later
Try to find new lasagne dish
Make special dinner for DH for tonight

Hiya everone
Welcome to the madhouse to everyone new....run before you get addicted!!! Only kidding, it's probably the only thing in my life that keeps me sane (ish)!
Germish - hopefully it won't take to long to get an allotment. We were like Hawthorn and got one really quickly as no-one wanted the one that we were offered. We had brambles, couch grass, horse tails...you name it. After three years it's looking pretty good though.
Dusty - hugs to DS, hope he gets better quickly.
Anw and Johanne...hugs to you both. Yesterday must have been so difficult and you both sound like you made the day as nice as it could have been. Hugs xx

Yesterday was hard but we went out for the day (food festival) which we all really enjoyed. Talked to my sister today and she said she did not cry as much as she thought she would. It is so hard when it is the first fathers day without your dad. !!{Hugs}} to all those in the same situation.

I've not had a chance to catch up on the rest of the posts, but I'm about to head to work, so thought I'd check in.
I managed to catch up with washing up, put a load of washing on, emptied the clothes airers, fold washing, hang new lot up, wiped all the cupboards down, swept the floor and swished over it. Didn't manage to scrub the floor though as I've got no stardrops left, so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

This thread is good on elderflowers - has links to pics and details on collecting etc:

Did the chicken smell off before you cooked it? If yes I'd bin it.
Done a few more bits on my list so going to do a HHC in DS1 bedroom now - anyone want to join me 2:30 - 3:00

I've put DD's corkboard up in her room - only taken me since April maybe? It took all of 2 minutes if that!
I also cleared out the storage cupboard in her room - I've chucked 2 quilts, a spare pillow that was minging and added her winter uniform (except tie
) to the charity bag - there's no way she'll be wearing size 7-8 clothing in September..she's basically in 8-9 now
Next load of washing out and another one in ... Could do with HHG but my wheelie bin is full so I'll leave it until Wednesday (might be able to squeeze a little bag in) or Thursday when its been emptied :rotfl: That reminds me, I need to call my mate and ask him to come and sort out my honeysuckle like he promised before it grabs someone passing :rotfl::rotfl: Well it better be a text actually, my voice is very intermitent ATM and he'll just end up laughing at me and I'll end up trying to shout at him and it'll all go wrong :rotfl:Think I'll leave it until tonight though as I think he's in work today
