Nice one SianyD
I am too in the same hat, well my girl friend is, she was the unlucky one.
We rang the bank straight after we was fobbed off by ZavviDirect stating we can have our refund in 5 days, but then the very next day he called my GF and said your oder is coming in 1 week.
Now instead of my GF having a fit at the guy saying, "i asked for a refund not a delivery" she got all excited again and thought "excellent I get my Wii Fit"
So just from that alone, you know these guys are unprofessional and dodgy as they dont listen to your refund requests!
She did get good response from HSBC though, stating that she can get her money back if the item does not arrive, but we got to wait roughly 30 days. So thats promising, and from your experiance SianyD, its looking good for people that have used their Maestro (direct debit) that they may get their money back0 -
Hi I have just spoken to my Bank Lloyds TSB they will claim a refund after 30 days, I had phoned before and been told that I could do nothing about this so dont give up keep on at the Banks and they should do something.0

I gather that best advice for debit card customers is to tell the bank to investigate it as a fraud. In this case I've been told you are covered even if you paid by debit card, and there is a procedure to follow though it can take a while. You could argue that the Zavvi deception is an element of fraud even if the company proves to be real.

I am with Natwest and they are unwilling to do anything about it. Seems to be very unfair that banks are inconsistent in their treatment of consumers in exactly the same situation. Natwest have been terrible and i have had to speak to about 10 different people including the fraud team twice who say that the situation isn't a fraud.
I have aquired a chargeback form from the branch but it probably won't do much good. I am attaching all relevant articles etc.
Has anyone actually been refunded through Natwest?
I am changing banks after this and only ever using credit cards for online payments!!0 -

I am surprised that web site isn't taken down due to Zavvi complaint i am sure they could get the domain name
The only reason they are using it is to scam people and use the good name of a legitimate company0 -
The sites were taken down - on June 15th.

Thanks to those who contacted me. I've now had enough responses; but will post anything helpful I find out to the forum.

i'm eager to see what the latest update is via dinah (you're doing a brilliant job lady)
surely it's not that difficult for the police to establish whether a delivery was ever made on the 20th.0
