how are ppl getting refunds? my bank barclays said i have to wait 30 days to see if it turns up (yea right) and then they will fill a dispute form in then they have 30 days to reply etc etc0

I bank with co-op, the person I spoke to was helpful but I've had to send a letter explaining the situation and they said it may take several weeks to investigate.
It seems that banks are dealing with this differently, some are getting refunds striaght away while others have to wait. Not sure if all banks are aware of the situation.0 -
well my bank are still under the impression that zavvi direct are genuine and part of virgin when i try to explain that they were just made to look that way they dont really understand apart from 1 lady who thanked me for making the bank aware, another lady said 'oh ive bought of zavvi before not no more though' but she had bought of the virgin zavvi. Its like talking to a brick wall!0

Make sure that you have reported it to the police that way you will have a crime number. Take all supporting evidence to the bank concerned in person, such as Dinah's article in computeractive and Tim's article in the Guardian (links for these can be found within this thread). Take prints of your own emails that confirm you ordered and requested a refund. Ask the bank concerned to do a chargeback form and see how you get on from there :-)0

I've just receiced a refund from Zavvi, threatened them with Watchdog and a County Court Judgement.0

I am also one of the unlucky ones who has ordered a Wii Fitness and been told my order would be dispatched on 20th June and so far nothing!!.
Protx are useless as they need authorisation from Zavvy to give a refund but you can't get hold of them.0 -
Hi everyone.
My GF today took all the evidence from these forums and articles to a HSBC Bank in London (Old Broad Street) and spoke to an advisor there.
She explained what happened with Zavvi Direct frauding everyone with the Wii Fits. The advisor was very understanding and explained the procedure. He flagged the ZavviDirect.com transaction as fraudulent and ensured that my gf would get a call in 48 hours to confirm and then get a full refund in 2 weeks time.
This is great news for all the people who used a HSBC debit card!!
So for an easier way to get a refund from HSBC is to definitley visit the bank, and not to bother with phoning them, as they seem to have no idea over the phone.

Hi
This happened to me and have had a few problems with my bank and zavvidirect.
I sent a couple emails to zavvidirect and got some responses, refund will be processed within 4-5 days, apologising etc...but yet to have any refund.
i have been to my bank and completed a maestro dispute form this takes 15 days before any info.
so i looked on www.cableforum.co.uk and discovered a journolist who is investigating this. look on there and speak to Dinah Greek she has been a great help and has given me the crime ref number and further details.
P.S - Paul Clayton is not affiliated with this site in anyway, whoever set this up stole his identity and number.
Lets finally nail the ******** who set this up and get our money back.0
