I've just set followed the article, and signed up for Just Talk and 1899 (allong with the mobile) on behalf of my Mum.
I'm currently writing instructions to be posted by the phone, but am unsure what to advise with regards to dialing 0845 and 0870 numbers.
Can anyone tell me hom much they cost with Just Talk, and if any one of the three options below is "overall best", as I don't want to confuse my mum too much by making this any more complicated than it already is.
1)Use Just Talk
2)Use BT (by dialing 1280 first)
3)Use 1899
Also, what should be done in the event of dialing premiuim 09 numbers?
Thanks0 -
At E&W BT are the cheapest supplier of calls to 0845/0870 numbers.
During the day 18185 is the cheapest for 0870 4p a minute,(4p connection).1899 charge 7p at all times (3p connection).Just slightly cheaper then BT at peak rate.
https://www.dialaround.co.uk is the cheapest at peak rate for 0845 via a 0844 access number at 2p a minute.
If you dont want to confuse your mum to much i would tell her to use the BT 1280 route.Premium rate calls are not discounted by anyone to be on safe side put these through BT.
You could consider getting her an Orchid Dialler suitably programmed so she want have to worry about what number to dial.PF.0 -

I've tried the email address that was suggested with, so far no answer, so I'll probably be going over to Primus.

Well, after all this time, I've still had absolutely no response from JustDial so I'm signing up with Primus considering JustDial's terrible customer service.

From 1/2/06 TT line rental goes up to £10.50p.They charge 50p a month for basic 1571,and £1.75p for caller display.A total of £12.75p with them only £11 with the BT basic line rental.
Sorry I can't now see the 9.99 price I thought I saw it yesterday but must have got it wrongJdubb0 -
The TalkTalk website is often out of date so it certainly is best to talk to a CS operator.
I have been with TalkTalk for phone calls for more than a year and never had any problems BUT I won't be shifting my line rental from BT.0 -
