Good morning all
A really wet, dank and miserable day here today and I've got a sore throat which doesn't help!
DH took kids to school today on his way to work so I managed to get all the housework sorted by 9am. No washing to do until I've got uniforms tonight and everywhere is fairly clean and tidy. Did my ironing yesterday so really do have a day off today.
BM is going - last loaf turned out quite strange - more like a crumpet texture. Just going to spend 10 mins browsing and 10 mins getting my books up to date and then it's craft time.....or cup of tea and a dvd time....not quite sure which!
No plans for the weekend, this is the last weekend we have clear of plans until the weekend before xmas so we're making the most of it and having a pyjama weekend, lots of boardgames, hot choccy, light a fire and relax.....might persuade them all to join me for a walk along the beach if it's not raining.
Hope you all have a wonderful day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
elona - :T (consider yourself a qualified OS'er
)
nicki - Got luck at the in-laws (mine were known as Outlaws  ) and I hope the show is fun, fun FUN
moggins - you've had a chill pill, so enjoy the Christmas songs with dd!!! :j (remember the old rhyme: Cooking and cleaning can wait 'til tomorrow, as children grow up, we know to our sorrow ...) Don't leave it so long next time before renewing your prescription - it *must* go in the budget as priority spending (and yes, that means before even FOOD)
Extending a ((hug)) to you and *your* son!! KNIFE????- thank goodness the school is supportive! I've yet to get my letter off to the school .. should have put it on my To-do list, but with half term after today, I have a chance to really think about how I want to word it
CQ - please extend my apologies to your DS - one of mine was in a foul mood when I woke him and he thought *that* was early LOL ... wait until I tell him the effect I had on *your* son this morning(his wee mind will boggle
) :rotfl:
PP - good luck at the dentist and ... enjoy having your hair done
scuzz - ((hugs)) Fingers X'djo - clocks go back ..... Sunday 30th October
monkeylugs - you can change your username by contacting admin - but, please may I ask why?I *like* monkeylugs

foreverskint - :rotfl:Your boozing/late night antics *you* have to take responsibility for
:rotfl:
Hopefully, I haven't missed anyone out - and if I have, it's because you posted while I was updating
As for being up all hours of the night .... lets just say .... :think:A woman's work is never done!
It's piddling down with rain here now (it was soooo much nicer at 5am) so the washing is hanging over the bath
2nd lot is almost finished and I'm hoping the weather is going to be good to me ... (dh is away on a course for 2 weeks and needs a lot of stuff! )
Until later .......................~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks Queenie
DD is really excited as she has ordered the mattress and paid for it with her own money - she cannot wait to get home from work tonight and is planning an early night(Aw bless)
Have warned her that mattress may be more supportive than she is used to and that it will take her a few days to get used to it.
It looks really good to me and a fantastic bargain."This site is addictive!"

Up and have to be rarring to go, Grandchildren here today DH has just gone to pick them up........ bread cooling, tomato sauce made, apples cooked just have to do the crumble topping, cook the pasta and fry off some bacon..... guess the rest of the day will be chatting and watching cartoons on TV. My DD does not have a TV, so the children like to watch cartoons when they come here, we have freeview so they can watch Cbbc etc....... me I will be shattered when they have gone, Daddy is picking them up and taking them home, he works close to where we live, starts at 7 though so did not relish having to give them breakfast apart from which DGS does not get up well early on holiday!!!! and I do not get up well anyday!!!!

Phew. it took some time to get to the end of the thread but I have finally made it!
Well I haven't actually started today, but I have plans to honest!! It is the first day of my half term today, woo hoo. They are haveing a teacher training day today but as I am on reduced hours I didin't have to go, lucky really as they are soooooo boring!
Today I will -
Pop into town to collect bits for the kitten we are getting this weekend (YAY)
Post my ebay package
Buy a book of house training the kitten
Tidy round and check that there aren't any dangerous things that kitten can get hurt on or precious things that kitten can chew up!
I really HAVE to do my ironing today, its been sat there since we can back from hols in AUGUST and we just keep ironing things we need out of it.
The SC is on with pea and ham soup which OH will have as well as parents so I just need to make something for me.
We are making cornflake cakes later too, yum yum. We can have them after tea.
We well at least I have a plan for the day, but you know how the saying goes......best laid plans and all that.........no I really must do that ironing before it topples over and flattens me.
Have a good day all, stay wrapped up warm if it is cold where you are, I know I will!0
