I actually enjoyed last nights ep (lots more intrigue..) and you can see it :)

The C4 (Episode 12 / Whatever the Case May Be) one is repeated at 6.35pm on sunday and the E4 one is on 2nd chance sunday (I believe...)

Thanks, I know you usually get around 3 opportunities to see it during the week, and I'd already seen the 10pm C4 one, but it was whilst browsing on here so wasn't paying full attention and wanted to watch it again ;)

The 11pm E4 one I can catch on Sunday night, or next Wednesday at 10pm, but I just hate having to wait for it LOL! :D

I'd lost track of which episode # we were up to too, so thanks for the reminder!

Lucie - you won't believe the amount of times I've muddled up the curry sauce with my butternut squash and tomato soups  ... and no, I never label anything in the freezer either as I always think I'll remember what they are LOL! :rotfl:

Well we have just got back from our first visit to our new allotment....... cleared up a load of rubbish, emptied the beautiful cast iron bath that has been used as a water container and moved it onto the path. Cleared the path first........ chucked a whole load of rubbish into the skip they are going to move tomorrow........ and marked out where the shed etc is going.

We have arranged for a chap to come with a plough next week to plough it up, it has notbeen gardened for 8 years, but had been well looked after till then, so the grass thats being turned in should put back some nitrogen into the soil. We have onions garlic and shallots to go in as well as 2 apples and a plum tree and loads of strawberry runners, also looking at moving some of the rhubarb out of the back garden.

Glad I prepared the supper before we went out mince is in the slow cooker (smells delicious) doughballs will go in about an hour before we eat, cabbage and carrots in the steamer ready for me to switch on the gas.

My back and legs are sore, not used to digging....... off for a cuppa and a biccy to stay the worms until supper time.

    Hi all, :hello:

I've been working hard again today. I'll have had 5 days this week after tomorrow, so that'll keep me going over half term.

OH and I went Boots shopping last night. The largest one locally had a "Boots Christmas Advantage Evening", so we did some Christmas present shopping. For every £50 you spent, you got 1200 extra points. Last year, OH got all his family's presents at it, this year we didn't do as well but still managed to get an extra 2400 points. That's a couple of my friends sorted, along with the friends' children. Not too bad, really. Oh, and all the presents were on 3 for 2 as well. We got a cunning present for OH's big sister and her husband - an expresso maker half price reduced from £40 to £20. It's quite a decent one.

I'd better go and think about what we're having for tea. I've got some sausages out of the freezer and so I think it'll be sausage, egg and beans. Well, I'll set OH onto that as soon as he gets home.

DS had his piano lesson today, its about 16 miles to drive to get there, so decided to go into Colchester to see if I could get a frame for the oil painting we bought as a souvenir from our holiday. My mum had a painting professionally framed and it cost quite a lot. Managed to get frame, plus double card surround, for about £7, so quite pleased. Also was able to get to a Sainsburys to fill up with diesel. 4p a litre less than the cheapest in our small town - and with a Discovery that's a lot of difference!
On the other hand I can't justify driving 12 or so miles just to fill up, so always combine as many jobs as possible into one journey!
Picture now hanging on the wall - looks very nice.

I am a bit cross because a week ago today I posted (First Class) 2 birthday cards & a £30 Boots voucher to our DD, whose birthday was on Monday. It still hasnt arrived - Royal Mail don't consider something missing till it has been 15 working days. A couple of other cards haven't got there, either, and she knows about at least one estimate from a heating engineer that didn't get to her, either. Grrrrrrrrr...............

Oh, and the pile of ironing that I meant to tackle - was it yesterday?- is still there. No excuses!

    Hello Everyone :hello:

House move over and done with (almost .. still emptying boxes) and have finally sorted out the broadband.

Had a week when we had to live on take-aways and ready meals ... cost an absolute fortune and the family moaned about not having meals from scratch. Now getting back to normal ... freezer restocked, breadmaker up and running and fresh fruit and veg in the racks.

Youngest daughter spent the day cleaning the kitchen for me (and moving all my baking ingredients etc so that now I can't find them!) and so now we are now going to see the new Wallace and Grommit film.

    See you later everyone!
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

    Evening all,

Had to go to work today, not the best of shifts.

Tonight have done nothing O/S had a day off.. we have had chippy for tea and then a vist to the shop to choose chocolate and sweets, but it's a rare treat and the childrens faces showed how they thought of it as a treat and not a part of everyday life as they used to do. think they will be better children for it.

Going to do 20 mins ironing and watch TV before an early night.

    :hello: Gooooood Morning :hello:

    Hoping everyone is well.

DH's meeting re: the mortgage went extremely well - saved £60 pm :j :j :j
If you haven't asked about your payments in a while - do so! Seems that, not everyone keeps an eye on the latest deals. As the saying goes: "If you don't ask; you won't get" ;)

Today is the last day of this Half Term - so I'm really looking forward to having the boys home next week :j :j :j (I'm well prepared with ideas/trips planned so it looks like being a fun, fun, fun, time :D )

Have a great Friday everyone

Great news about the mortgage saving :T

My daughter comes home next week and I'm so relieved I can't sleep. She's going to need 24 hour care for a month and 2-3 months convalesence but at least she will be home. :j

Right off to re work my budget (again)

    Have a good day everyone

  • This is the end of the half term break for us up here in Scotland so need to plan something for today that is special before the prelims (sp?) that start at the beginning of November icon11.gif

I did a bit of haggling myself today on some work on the car and managed to get a 50% discount on the MOT instead of 30% and then 10% off as I paid

Here's to a happy Friday
