Managed to do 3 washloads and all hung out drying (thanks to OH). DW finished and emptied. Westie back from haircut. All downstairs tidied-ready for cleaner tomorrow..lol. Had my lunch of 2 small lamb chops, 3 roasties and swede/carrot mash & mint sauce-which was an extra plate I did from last night :D OH has just put a HM pizza in the oven for himself  OH is rubbing down the filler he did round the skirting boards yesterday and maybe some painting done today too  but we will see. Loads of dust for the cleaner tomorrow though :o

Hands off he's mine. He's going to make us a pizza tonight for tea too. Not rubbing it in .... honest.

However, he has 2 teenage daughters. One of which is 16 and has all of a sudden realised that there is more to life than a) doing what other people want her to do and b) being good all the time. She wants her independance and she wants it NOW. Lets just say she's made a few 'bets' recently for which people give her cash if she does things. Nothing too dodgy at the moment, but trying to put a lid on it before it gets any worse.

  • Ah now you didn't mention the teenage daughters did you. That's put a whole new angle on things:eek: .

I have two upcoming teenagers, so I think you can keep him. It was a nice dream whilst it lasted though........................................

Thought you might change your mind somehow...but (yes something else I left out). They live with their respective mothers about 100 miles away, so we only see them every other weekend. Harder for OH though when one of them appears to be in a bit of trouble (ie, 16 year old)

  • I'm in a similar situation. My two live with their Dad and come to us a weekends. I know what you mean about the difficulties, when they are so far away and they're in trouble or upset. It's very hard sometimes

I fell asleep around 10pm last night watching tv (and missed Lost :wall: )

    CQ,

You really didnt miss all that much last night, it was probably the most pointless episode of Lost I've seen which is a shame cause I look forward to it all week. :o

    Hi All

Not feeling too great today, my sister and brother-in-law are in Mexico and are being hit by Hurricane Whilma today. They're out there on their honeymoon. She called at 4am to say the hotel was getting ready for it to hit today.

Just really hoping they'll be ok.

Thankfully I work on a news desk so I can keep up to speed with what the hurricane's doing, but the wait's killing me

    Hi Scuzz,

    STOP!
I sky plussed it, so haven't seen it yet! Don't say anymore....

rchddap1 - your OH's headache is probably down to dehydration if he's been sick etc. He needs as much liquid as he can keep down, but nothing too "exciting"!

Had a lunch disaster - what I thought was tomato soup for lunch turned out to be CQ's curry sauce base instead. Note to self: I must label food in the freezer.......

    Hi everyone!!
Well I had a very exciting evening last night. I lit a candle [in a container] and settled down at 7.30 for what I thought would be a nice relaxing 30 mins meditation only to come to when OH came in at 11.00! Got diddly squat done therefore but can only assume I must have needed it!
Have stepped down as chairman of the P.T.A this week but will still carry on on the committee. Until they invent 36 hour days I simply can't fit it all in nowadays with working longer hours and other commitments. Sure others know the feeling!!
OH rang me at work this morning to tell me that the Small Person was the narrator in the Harvest Festival and that he'd done really well. It means so much more to me because he has Aspergers and couldn't have coped with it 6 months ago. Proud Mummy moment- probably just as well I wasn't there as bound to have embarrassed him with my grizzling!!
Have also been reminded by my boss that I have an extra weeks leave which I had totally forgotten about. I've just been concentrating so hard on the aftermath of the redundancy and adjusting to it so think I better take a couple of days off next month and kick my heels a bit.
Not a great deal of OS today as busy busy but am going to hopefully go out and finish my Chrimbo pressies in a min!

I actually enjoyed last nights ep (lots more intrigue..) and you can see it :)

The C4 (Episode 12 / Whatever the Case May Be) one is repeated at 6.35pm on sunday and the E4 one is on 2nd chance sunday (I believe...)

Not much old style round here as I'm in my last week at work and two of my friends got engaged at the weekend so I've mostly been hungover (3days.... never ever again!) and it's my "big night out" tonight... ah well, I've a 3 week downtime before my new job starts so I can get back in gear :D
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...
