Hes got a thing about not sitting still. Usually if he's still for 5 minutes its a miracle. As a result if there's nothing better to do, or if its a huge mess, he'll do the cleaning etc.... Wish I could claim responsibility, but he came like it (fortuantely for me). Usually he gets home 2 hours before I do, and in that time he'll sort the kitchen out, maybe do some hoovering if its needs doing, hang the washing out, and get dinner on the go ready for when I come home.

Its obvious that he's feeling terrible, as the usual things that he would normally do automatically haven't been done.

And no he's not for sale.

Good morning all - Only working the school runs today so nice to have some time alone in the house.

Beds are aired and made, washings washing, tumbles tumbling, dishwasher empty and all put away, sink cleaned and sparkling, hob cleaned and sparkling, bathroom cleaned, dusted and hoovered all through.

Just sitting here with a quick :coffee: whilst I did my internet banking, sorted some bills and moved some money about and thought i'd have 10 mins on here before doing something crafty....either painting my dough people or make some cards....might even do both!

Dh is out for lunch with clients today so he won't want anything to heavy tonight - might just do a quiche and some cheesy pasta, always goes down well and nice and quick......will have to be a veggi quiche tho as I've got no ham or bacon....I'm sure I can knock something up tho.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Blimey CQ, you are always up so early! How do you manage?

I'm not always up and about so early, or if I am it's usually because I haven't yet gone to bed ;)

I fell asleep around 10pm last night watching tv (and missed Lost :wall: ) so by 4am I'd had my 6 hrs and was wide awake! It's not often I sleep longer than that unless I'm ill, but I do sometimes have a 20 min power nap during the day if I feel tired :D

Moring all, feeling brighter this morning, the sun is shining, so load of washing in, did not put it in last night, thought it was going to rain!!!!!

That pile of ironing is in for a shock this morning, I am off in a mo to fettle it..........realised some of it is from last week.....oooooohhhhhhheeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr

DD and children coming tomorrow, so baking later, carrot cake, they love it, usually give them whats left to take home........tomato sauce made for pasta, like to keep it in the frdige for a couple of days, flavour develops better.

After lunch DH and self off to measure up and mark out the alllotment, found someone yesterday to put up the shed for us, so we have to get the slabs put down and some wood treated to stand it on. Might take a picnic with us, mince and doughballs for supper tonight.......have a good day............

Whoopee do - my PEP - which is either 5 or 6 years old has FINALLY broken even! Mr Postie has at last brought me 'good' news

Well, that was a good investment, wasn't it  :D In fact, I'm £115 in profit - now, if I were to cash it in, what could I spend my millions on :D

    Good morning all. :hello:

Just got back from the school run at 10am after going to a meeting about how they will be teaching DD to read - kind of a joke really since she has a reading age of 9 but we really need to work on the comprehension side of it. Thankfully the reading books she should be given first (going by the meeting that is) are only pictures so we can really work on the comprehension side of it :D I also bought her a book bag with the school crest on (£3.50 but since she loves reading and it will last her until it falls apart I thought it was worth the investment ;) ) and a spare sweatshirt while I was there (another £8.50) so the washing can be done less often as she will have 2 "foundation" sweatshirts and a "nursery" one for emergencies until she has completely grown out of it :T

While I was there the headmistress (and my old teacher from when I was there) took me to one side and asked if I would still like to be a parent governor as one of the ones who was elected has taken on a university course so can no longer be one  and as I was the next person on the list she thought she would ask me  Soooo.... it looks like I'm going to be a parent governor after all AND after half-term the teachers are probably going to be asking parents to go in and spend time in the classroom with their children learning how they do things so I'll be quite a busy bee after half-term _pale_:eek::D Only worrying thing is that DD's teacher has asked if she can have a word with me at home time - nothing bad, apparently, but I hate it when they say that

Plans for today, dishes to be washed (pans mainly), Turbolister has just updated so I'm going to sort out the listings for ebay NOW, and I've got 1 load of washing to do. Might even try and get some cleaning done since DD will be home tomorrow. Oh well, off to list on Turbolister but I think I'll get another coffee first. :coffee::D

    Hi All

Not feeling too great today, my sister and brother-in-law are in Mexico and are being hit by Hurricane Whilma today. They're out there on their honeymoon. She called at 4am to say the hotel was getting ready for it to hit today.

Just really hoping they'll be ok.

Thankfully I work on a news desk so I can keep up to speed with what the hurricane's doing, but the wait's killing me

Hope your family will come through Wilma okay. Scary, but surely something they'll never forget...imagine the tales they will tell!

OH seems to be better. he's had some crumpets...and so far he hasn't brought them backup again. He still has a splitting headache, but with a bit of food and exercise that should go in no time. As expected....he's bored stiff and so he's cleaning the kitchen. So far he's managed the washing up, cleaning all the sides, putting stuff away and has washed out, and cleaned a draw that desperately needed sorting out.

Oh and he's put a load in the washing machine too.

    Isn't he a star!

Neither of us really wanted to get up this morning :o at least OH can be pretty flexible with his hours - he just needed to be at uni for 11.15 as he's doing some demonstrating for a practical.

We had porridge for breakfast and then I've been sitting here sorting stuff out on the internet - postie has just been with lots of bits and pieces - apparently the file on my car accident is now closed and my no claims is unaffected :j

Will do a load of washing today I think and will try and sort out getting my operation christmas child boxes delivered or collected and dropping some videos off to someone whose bought them later before going to a rehearsal at a musical society at the uni which I belong to tonight.

Might go into the city centre later - just need to be careful that I don't spend too much money  so might stay in instead, sort some more stuff out to sell and maybe do some craft stuff if i can get to the bits.

Anyway cup of tea calling now I think - currently watching old Christmas casualty on sky - how sad am I
