I had to go double check the day and the date before posting this! :o

Well, I've been here a couple of hours now and no one else has come along to start the thread so I thought I might as well do it for a change ;)

I seem to have gone from one extreme to the other of being up half the night and sleeping all morning, to sleeping all evening and being up at 4am

Not made any plans yet today as such as I've just been enjoying the peace and quiet with a :coffee: and chance to catch up on the boards!

I made my xmas cake yesterday so that's all wrapped up now and will be fed copious amounts of Brandy between now and xmas :D

I have some bits and pieces I need to parcel up today to send up to my son in hospital, so DS can take them to the PO when he gets home from school. I've also got some admin work to do and no doubt shred a load of paperwork. There's some washing up to do from last night and washing to hang up to dry and the usual checks/water changes etc on the animals. I've got one less to do now though because I sold my big girl boa this week and missing her terribly :(

I'm going to try fit in a nap this afternoon so hopefully I can go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight and try get my bodyclock back in some sort of order

Right, time to go get DS up for school and take the bread out of the BM!

Hope you all have a great day

Blimey CQ, you are always up so early! How do you manage?

DD1 woke me at 5.15am today with a wet bed-oh the joys of night training

Not too sure what the weather is doing, very windy but still too dark to see much of the sky.

Got the new fridge last night so will go and sort that soon, have been letting the gases settle overnight but can plug it in now. Will make for an interesting challenge as the old one was integrated and the wiring goes into the back of my cupboards.

OH gone off now for 4 days on business so that leaves me and sprogs aged 3, 2 and 1 alone, no doubt I shall be on here moaning soon about theloss of my sanity ;)

Am going to head off for coffee now, my eyelids are feeling very heavy and I have to face playgroup with the sprogs at 10am.

    Have a good day all,
    Al.

Hi everyone:wave: Up earlier than I'd like to be as usual, as dd wakes me up around 6.30. i've tried telling her not to call me until it's light outside her window, but it's not working every day.

CQ- Sorry to hear you're missing one of your girls. I know how you feel, I had to rehome two pet rats this week and I keep going to feed them and they're not there.

Well yesterday I discovered the brick shed in the garden is now home to a family of mice:o I thought the whiff in there was from the pet rats, but two days on It still ponged. Now I lknow why, So I shall be looking to find ways of getting rid.

Other than that it's cold wet & miserable in suffolk today and I really don't feel like doing too much today.
Think I'll have another:coffee: and hang around for a while longer.

Pennypincher, I hope you feel better today and please post on here everyday, nobody thinks you're moaning about your illnesses. To me your an inspiration, if I was as poorly as you i don't think I would even get out of bed.
    :hello: :A
  • Morning

Been up since 5am, but couldnt get fingers to work..lol. Have a blinding headache this morning, but think Im over tired.

Have a load in the washing machine and DW is on. There is another washload to do and my patchwork quilt needs washing too. Have a cake mix that needs using (betty crocker) sep 2005 that we bought in USA last year. There only 90c over there-about 50p and always stock up when we go over there. I bought 12 last year and only have 2 left  they do taste delish though :o and always cook up nice and so easy to make :D OH has to take our westie for a haircut today as he looks like chewy from starwars  I think OH is also going to start painting the woodwork downstairs as he filled a few holes yesterday that need a quick rub down....but we will see..lol. We put new wooden skirting down last year but have alot of pine downstairs as I like the country look but we thought it would look more crisp with the white paint and the coving has recently been done-so should look ok.

DD is off tomorrow, so is coming to hospital appointment at 8am with OH & I, then is going to stay here with cleaner whilst I go back to the dentist for more work in me mush!

Lunch for me today is Lamb chop, roast spuds & carrot/swede mash (made extra plate last night). Dinner is chilli con carne and tacos/fajitas.

Will try and post again later. Have a great day.

Thanks foreverskint((((((((hugs))))))))!!! Thats bought a lump to me throat!

    Penny-Pincher!!

    Hello

Hope everyone's Ok, and if they're not, that it gets better :)

Well, I did a mountain of ironing last night and started sorting out more in the attic room. You can't get in there now - and that's no joke :D Even though I have a large people carrier,I'm doubting I can get it all in and I haven't even started on the garage  I know for a fact there's a go-kart and 2 trikes I want to get rid of as well as loads of other household stuff. Oh well, I'm sending the clothes to the charity shop - may just sell the coats as they're still decent. Why don't I get rid earlier? I know - I had to be certain I didn't want any more kids - that's my story and I'm sticking to it :D

Today there's no pre-school and no mystery shopping. However, Mr TM reminded me last night that he's going camping this w/e so could I get him suitable 'camping food'. That's the trouble with being OS - I don't have tins of suitable stuff in anymore :D I have some vouchers to use so may visit Tesco later.

Weather's brightening up here so may risk putting some washing out. (Cue rain :D) Willl make something with mince for tea - maybe chilli as haven't had for a while. Other than that, I'll play it by ear.

Working from home today, so am being a true old styler & sitting here in me dressing gown, drinking coffee. I really must go for a shower in a minute! I have already logged on & checked/replied to email, so work at least know I'm out of bed!

I've got some HM tomato soup out of the freezer for lunch, a couple of loads of washing to do & a trouser hem to sew up (for "sew" read "wunderweb") on my best suit. I think it's snagged on the zip on my boots.

Dinner is going to be chicken cordon bleu (stale bread to be used), cauliflower cheese (half a cauli left from Sunday) & some form of potatoes (from FIL's allotment).

OH is still ill poor soul. He did manage to do some washing, but the kitchen needs a good going over. He drank lots of water, but could only manage 2 slices of dry toast yesterday. Whilst he is feeling a bit better today (started talking about wanting some crumpets...to eat), we'll have to see how things go. If he's turned the corner, then the kitchen will be sparkling when I get home, if not I'll do it myself tonight.

Dinner could be anything. I'm leaving OH to get something out if he feels like it. So if I'm eating alone it could be baked beans on toast (had soup last night)....if he's joining me we could end up eating anything.

Flippin' 'eck - how do you get him to do anything when he's ill? Mr TM wants a medal if he's done anything when he's well :D If I go out for the day and leave him at home, it's rare occasion he cleans anything (for clean - read tidy and hoover, not dust, wash, disinfect etc) When he's ill, we ALL know about it and asking him to do anything?.........
