Hi All
Got through to the hotel where sis and brother in law are staying in Mexico last night. It hadn't hit them yet, but the reports coming down the news wire this morning aren't good. We didn't actually speak to sis, just the hotel.
The eye of the storm's meant to be heading to Mexico. Can't believe they haven't been evacuatedComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Oh my word - why are you all awake you crazy people!!!
Last night I went shopping and spent lots of £££ in only a few minutes (went to Ikea and bought the sofa im hankering over) and had a browse of the xmas decs, there isnt too much I wanted from Ikea fortunately!
Anyway, work again today, and tomorrow is a 9-3 day, ive booked a couple of days off in november and my sofa comes in the beginning of november so at least I have things to look forward to.
My food budget for the month is £120 for the two of us, so im going to make a meal and shopping planner at work today for a big stock up at Lidl, and then any left over cash will be put in the bills account. Im also attempting not to use my credit card, and to make a december xmas planner - I intend to start getting stocked up as I have £5 of nectar points and £5 of tesco points - which I intend to use on xmas stuff.
Anyway, gotta go get some more pigsback points and then get ready for work.
Anyone know when the clocks go back??

Good Grief!! You mad bunch
I really thought I was going to make page 1 today too. Woke up feeling really strange this morning so I haven't done anything yet. I've been without my Anti-d's for the last few days as my prescription ran out and I didn't have time to get the new one filled. Finally did it yesterday and took the first one in 4 days so I think it may be that.
I was going to get DD off to school and go back to bed but after seeing what you lot are up to I'm going to struggle on this morning anyway. It's raining here so that is going to be a fun walk to school, never mind, it's the last day before half term and DS has already finished as they have an inset day.
Queenie, give my hugs to your son, mine was threatened with a knife last week by another pupil but the school have been brilliant and really supportive.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hello old stylers!
No plans for today. I NEED to get some cleaning done! I AM going to clean the bathroom. No matter how much the family believe it, the bathroom is NOT actually self-cleaning.
I have piles and piles of clean, dry clothes to put in drawers/wardrobes.
Need to make a shepherds pie from scratch (has anyone noticed my grocery target in my signature with 10 days to go!!! and I still have 4 days worth of food in the house).
I also need to write a letter to my pen pal.
And I have a backlog of magazines to catch up with, so if I get the house clean today and the washing up to date, I will be able to have a leisurely weekend.!
DH's first monthly wage today (ooh-er) which I have to make last a whole four weeks! TBH budgeting will be much, much easier from now on but its still a scary thought - no more money for a month!April 2006 - £9790.26dr. DFD - March 20110 -
PS - can I ask, does anyone know how to change your username? Do you have to e-mail someone and ask, or is there a way to change it yourself? Or will I need to re-register?April 2006 - £9790.26dr. DFD - March 20110

:hello: Gosh I feel late on parade this morning... Having read through all the threads already I feel exhausted and in need of a lie down in a dark room:rotfl:
Well I have all of the children with me this weekend so I need to give the house it's Friday do, change the beds dust & hoover etc. The BM needs to go on and I'm doing tuna pasta bake for tea. (complete change of weekend menu's as other half is now starting to think about what to cook and is actually cooking saturday & sunday this week:j
I've got Tescos delivering my second shop this month, so that brings me in under £230.00 for the month including all cleaning & personals, which is an all time record for me. I never used to think twice about spending over £600.00:eek:
And A quick note to -CQ and Queenie. Thanks for sending me to the arms, the trouble is I really am not getting anything done at all now.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Right off for a :coffee: and then onwards & upwards as they say:wave:.....................
That's if I don't just pop into the Arms first...........................:rotfl:0 -

Morning all :hello:
We're going away to the IL's tonight when OH gets in from work so I've got a very busy day ahead. DD is on her hols already as its an inset day for her so at least I haven't got to take her to school but it does mean she will be underfoot all day - I see her watching cbeebies or videos/DVDs for a while today while I got some jobs done like the ironing. First of all I need to go for a bath. I was going to go for one last night but got distracted making word games for DD
Plan for today :
1) BATH
2) Washing loads x 3
3) Quick whip through house and strip beds, may even wash the bedding today but that can easily wait until we get back;)
4) Laundrette - its pouring down and I NEED to get the washing dry as my jeans for next week (post trip away) will be in there as well as other clothes which I might have to pack
5) Ironing while watching a Christmas video with DD - shouldn't take so long.
6) Pack
7) Make tea for DD and I and sandwiches for OH as he'll eat on the way up to IL's as we need to be there so he can help out on the show we're going to see  If it was me I'd say "Sorry, no I've been at work all day with a 40 minute commute each way and I have a 2 hour drive up I'm NOT helping out" but its OH and his family.:mad: At least I'll get to go Christmas shopping tomorrow - whether OH likes it or not as I can easily get to town without DD if I wanted :shhh:
8) Dishes need washing - still but its just one pan and tea/breakfast dishes. Which reminds me I need to find a tip about burnt on milk in a pan.
Right off to check bank accounts, update money and then off for a bath. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hope I qualify today as DW is on, WM is about to go on,BM is whirring and chicken is in SC ready to cook - I will then have to take all the bones out before I add softened onions and peppers in cream of chicken soup. May have to make pancakes for it or potatoes as have run out of rice.
Spent yesterday in Newcastle with DD to give her family's birthday presents. We had a nice lunch then went to the cinema to see "Serenity" and enjoyed it.
Came back last night to find a large jiffy bag with hair straighteners and a CD from New Woman (a subscription gift) which will do as a birthday present in February and as a stocking filler.
Seem to have done nothing but spend money but got most of Christmas presents and they were all good bargains.
Was confidently expecting DH's expenses to have come through by now but they have not  so trying to squeak through the next few days."This site is addictive!"
