Hi all
N9eav - I hope that your daughter is feeling better.
I've been working again today: the supply agency 'phoned me at 7.30am, luckily I'd already got sandwiches made, so I was able to get to the school for 8.30am and sort myself out before the little dears (a mixed class of Year 1 and 2) arrived. Some of the children were delightful and went out of their way to be nice and point me in the right direction, others were terrible, rude, obnoxious etc. I honestly don't know how they can get away with behaving like that, especially when they behave exactly the same with their parents.
I got a parcel from the Book People today. Some Christmas presents, somethings for teaching and one book for OH and I - that Coast book that ties in with the BBC series. We decided that we should actually explore more of the coastline, especially as we know people we could stay with in some places AND we have our trusty tent (for summer use only by me!:D).
I popped in to Tesco this evening and got loads of bits and pieces from the yellow sticker section - a few pizzas, fishcakes and salmon en croute (2 for £1.25). Ok, I know that I'm very bad and I could make a meal for far cheaper, but on nights when I've been in school it's a convenient option.
However, supper tonight will be turkey stir fry (ie small amount of turkey and then loads of chopped veg) with a sauce................. Mmmmmm. OH has phoned to say he's running late, so it'll be a while before I can start tea. Grrrr.
Take care everyone.

- skin round my fingers is horrible and dry and flaky - think it's partly all the washing up (had a dishwasher in the old place) and the colder weather - hand cream here I come!
Oh dear!!!Are you using too strong a solution of washing up liquid? E45 cream is brilliant for dry skin.
Grab some rubber gloves (sprinkle a little talc inside before you put them on - helps them come off easier)

OH told me off last night for putting too much fairy liquid in the bowl so think that's probably it, especially as I haven't done much washing up recently. I've got E45 hand cream at the moment need to go and find some and put it on in a minute - when I was working on a summer school based in the biology labs at the uni over the summer i washed my hands so much and really messed them up  ThanksInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

A BIG Thankyou to all of you who expressed concern re my daughter. It is real pants to spend your 16th birthday linked to machines with tubes and wires.
Thankfully she is getting better and is now able to talk to us and is stable. Diabtetes is a nasty condition and always waiting to get you if you don't keep it under control.
