Hehehehe I remember feeling exactly the same about the Arms until I suddenly got transported there one day, again during a post move, and got the shock of my life to find myself amongst the Motley Crew that darken the Arms doors  :rotfl:

It was just the kick up the backside I needed to join in though, as they're such a friendly lot in there and make you feel so welcome when you first venture in there :A

You really should try it ;) ... and soon! :D

And you've already met some of them when they get a bit lost and stray over here some times ;)

you'll have to let me know when you're going there CQ. i'll come with you and you can hold my hand.:rotfl:

Some times the very thought of going elsewhere makes me go _pale_ .

I shall go have a stiff:coffee: , and maybe go and join the _party_ and say:hello: ...............................................then again I may just sit here secure in the knowledge that my head will stay firmly on my shoulders and not get bitten off lol.

So pleased to hear about your daughter N9eav I'm sure you'll make sure she has extra special belated birthday celebrations when she comes out of hospital.

Not much planned today, feeling a bit fed up about lack of job and lack of direction about what I want to do - did teaching training last year but total lack of jobs up here, taking ages to register for supply and OH has just started a PhD and I'm finding it very hard being in our new flat on my own - this sort of place is designed for people who go out every day to work - not that great when you're here all day.

Anyway plan for the rest of today is to put some stuff on the university small ads (like free ads in the paper). Bit late to be doing car boots and not tried ebay for selling before so think I'll try and small ads first and then I might try and be brave and try selling on ebay :o Also going to look at putting some books on amazon (mad money making schemes are us - spent some time this morning doing surveys etc)

Got my flu jab at 4.20pm today (am asthmatic) and need to make an appointment for an asthma review and got a couple of swaps to post from another site I belong to.

OH going to go to make macaroni cheese for dinner tonight I think and might brave the rest of the stuff in the spare room from our move

    Hi all :hello:

Glad to hear that your daughter is on the mend N9eav! :)

My 'phone range early again this morning with another day of supply teaching. It could turn out to be the best 'phone call this side of Christmas as whilst I was in the school, the head asked me whether I'd be interested in a potential job for 2 terms. I'll find out after half term whether it's going ahead! Pretty fantastic stuff. I nearly celebrated with a coffee in the lovely coffee shop in town, but thought that I'd come back to my computer and share the good news with you lot! :D

OH has promised that we'll try to make it down to the pub quiz tonight. There's a pub in town that we haven't tried yet, but does have a pub quiz. Perfect excuse for us to make a trip down there. :D Supper will be one of the pizzas that I got from the Tesco reduced section yesterday.

If we're going out tonight then I'll need to make the sandwiches for tomorrow as I've got another day supply teaching in a different school. OH will be going to work as normal too!

    Better go for now.
