VickyA wrote:Hi all :hello:
Glad to hear that your daughter is on the mend N9eav!
My 'phone range early again this morning with another day of supply teaching. It could turn out to be the best 'phone call this side of Christmas as whilst I was in the school, the head asked me whether I'd be interested in a potential job for 2 terms. I'll find out after half term whether it's going ahead! Pretty fantastic stuff. I nearly celebrated with a coffee in the lovely coffee shop in town, but thought that I'd come back to my computer and share the good news with you lot!
OH has promised that we'll try to make it down to the pub quiz tonight. There's a pub in town that we haven't tried yet, but does have a pub quiz. Perfect excuse for us to make a trip down there.Supper will be one of the pizzas that I got from the Tesco reduced section yesterday.
If we're going out tonight then I'll need to make the sandwiches for tomorrow as I've got another day supply teaching in a different school. OH will be going to work as normal too!
Better go for now.
Vicky
That's fantastic Vicky :T :T really hope a job comes out of it, fingers crossed for you. I'm still waiting to join the supply agency here, 4 weeks so far stupid CRB is taking forever  .
Was lost this afternoon when the site went down - amazing how reliant you get on the internet  had my flu jab so that was ok and I've had a little walk up there and back too (well about 25 minutes each way).
Some stupid people who moved in at the weekend have filled our bins in the store with empty cardboard boxes - didn't even bother to flatten them the two bins at the front (4 in there) were completely full and they only got emptied yesterday morning  (forgot to put our rubbish out over the weekend so did it this afternoon) there are 24 flats in the 'development' so not impressed. I phoned the council action line and they're going to send someone out to have a look - wish people would be considerate, only a 15 minute walk to the cardboard recycling at the tip, or if you can't be bothered at list flat pack it into the bins

Hi everyone,
Glad to hear your daughter is better N9eav - that must be a big relief.
I'm feeilng poo at the moment so thought I would have a quick read on here and then go to bed with a lemsip and hot water bottle - have felt ok all day, but suddenly seem to have come down with flu
I've had a busy day at work today, then as soon as I got home I had to wolf down my tea and go on my driving lesson. It actually went ok today which I suppose is a good thing seeing as my test is a week on Saturday! (Not my first test either, have had loads
Tonight I've made a list of loads of things I'm going to sell on Ebay, also put aside some clothes to sell as a bundle - will sell the nicer things seperately. Have also cleaned our bedroom and taken out a big bag of rubbish, put all my clothes in my new wardrobe (given to me by my sister who has emigrated) and sorted out the bedside cabinets. Tomorrow I'm going to make a start on our spare room which is a hideous mess. We moved into our house in May, and since then any spare junk has been put in there.
Right better get this lemsip down me and get to bed.Comping Challenge

hello everyone.. bit late I know.. the new thead will be starting soon!!!
Had a paperwork day.. spent about 6 hours on the phone sorting out my financial life.. all paperwok is now filled in order, letter posted, and bills paid.. Had to be done and feel better for it.. however this resulted in no housework done and cheese and beans on toast for tea.. and no bread left now so may even have to give them dinner money tomorrow... or get up early and go get some. My wholemeal programme takes 3 hours 40 minutes in the BM so no chance of being up in time to put that on.
N9eav am so pleased abbout your daughter, and thanks to Queenie for pointing us in the right direction or I would have missed the good news0 -

Morning All
Thought Id start todays thread.
Firstly, would just like to apoligise for not being on here much, but have been so under the weather-didnt want to depress you lovely guysAll I seem to do on here is moan about my illness etc and dont think its fair on everyone else
Anyways, have a washload in the machine waiting to be put on in 5 mins. OH is putting up a couple of wall plaques in the kitchen for me today and cleaning down the extractor fan as the bottom is all done but the funnel needs to be srprayed, wiped and buffed up. I think he is also going to fill some small holes in the skirting downstairs as we have decided to paint them up in white to make the lounge and hallway look more crisp-IYKWIM..lol. Downstairs, is pretty clean and tidy.
Was going to ask-I have a 4 seater and 3 seater sofa (about 4 years old) and I need to buy new foaming for all the cushions as the suite has to last us for about another couple of years-does anyone know the rough costing of this or what they have paid for theirsThe back of the sofas have been bleached slightly by the sun as we have 2 windows in the lounge, but dont think these can be removed. Im also calling Halifax today to claim on my insurance for my stair carpet-having a stairlift put in and a few weeks/months back I spilt hair bleach on the top of the stairs and it has now spreaded over 3 steps  wouldnt mind bit the carpet was only laid about 3 years ago and wasnt cheap-im just hoping they will do it and fit it too.
Breakie is frosted shreddies. Lunch will be jacket spud, ham and salad. Dinner is HM toad-in-hole (im having a lmb chop), roast spuds and carrot/swede mash.
Will catch up later. Have a nice day everyone.

Morning:hello:
Was just thinking it's odd for this not to up and running yet!!
I'm soooooooooo tired. Was working till nearly 11pm last night and then had to get up at 4am:doh: On the bright side I have been invited to a party on Saturday night
Sitting here at my desk armed with porridge to get me through to lunch
I'm hoping to leave an hour early today - well I have done 7 hours unpaid over time this week alreadyComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning.
Im Tired too. And I have to go to work so im not looking forward to today. At least I get paid on Friday - woohoo - Im going to Ikea immediately to order a sofa!
Yesterday was a nightmare, for some reason, people think it is ok to go into a bank at 5 to 5 with a really comples problem.... Its not, I have a home to go to too. I ended up missing my bus because of a belligerent man that wouldnt do as I asked and didnt get home till 10 past 6 - which annoyed me immensely.
Anyway, im going to get ready - at least I sold another book on amazon... does anyone think it is rude to hand deliver the book - the person lives really close to me and it would be quicker (and cheaper for me) to hand deliver it. Any thoughts??
