Morning all,
N9eav, I hope there is good news for you about your daughter, poor thing having to be in hospital for her birthday
Hugs to everyone else who needs one.
I've been up since 6am but this is my first chance to post. I've put washing on, previous load out on the line, dry stuff sorted, folded and put away. All beds made and bedrooms tidied. School run done, bathroom cleaned, downstairs hoovered and a dozen apples peeled cored and now drying slowly in the oven. I just have the kitchen floor to clean and another load of washing to put on now although I expect I will find some other odd jobs that need doing today. I need to put my car in the back garden to start working on it so I may get that done this afternoon too.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Ebay parcels are posted. Just awaiting payment for two more and I'll be a happy bunny. According to Ebay records I've made £78.61 in the last 60 days
I need to get working on the items that I will be listed this Thursday - just got to make my mind up which catergory I'll be listing as I've sorted all the items I want to sell into groups. All the clothing is together, footware, toys, books etc etc as it's much easier to list them that way since there is cross-promotion now
Went shopping for milk and some bananas and now I only have £2.60 to last me until 27th  I do have ebay money I can dip into and repay if I get REALLY desperate but I've decided to have silly meals for the next 10 days - especially as we are away this weekend (Friday and Saturday night) and I want to have a good clear out before I do a big shop at the end of the month. We have loads of stock cubes, veg and pulses so we should be fine. :rotfl:
There is a load of washing in the machine now as I type on the quickest wash with a max spin so I'll hopefully manage to get that dry today. I'll just finish my coffee and then I'll go do a big batch of dishes since I've now had my lunch (4 crumpets  ). I guess I had better get on with Xmas stuff then so I can go window shopping in Barrow at the weekend.I might even spend the Debenhams vouchers that have been in my purse forever! Actually its only about 12 months if that :rotfl: but we don't have one yet in Liverpool so its annoying them sitting there when I know there is about £20 on them I think.
Off to the freebies board looking for Xmas pressies.;)Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Bathroom - done
Craft boxes and draws - done
Washing - done
Tumbling - Still doing
Lunch - done
Bath - running for a soak with a book!
And that's it - i've been told by DH to put my feet up and enjoy my afternoon off! (he forgets the school run, the snacks, the preparing of dinner, the 2 afterschoolers I need to collect, the laying of the table and the doing of homework that all happens before he walks in through the door at 5.20!!)
Never mind - my bath awaits!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi everyone and hugs to all needing them.
Pooky - yes, it's funny how the OH's forget all the things that we need to do, yet think we spend out lives sitting on the sofa eating chocolate
Today, rushed out of house, took boys to school then to mum's. had to do lots of ringing round and sorting out of changing over DD's for utilities etc. Must phone Sky at some point this week and give them hell. Suffice it to say they have treated my mum abysmally, what with cutting her off, billing extra etc AND making her pay for the priviledge (let's not get into 1 1/2 hrs on an 0870 number )
Anyway, popped into Tesco for a few bits, home with DS2 to find window cleaner here. Last week when he was in the area, house was clean and tidy. Today, cos we were in a rush, beds not made, toys all over, laundry all over, brekkie pots left out etc etcAlways the way, huh?
So, lunch done (HM leek & celery soup and HM bread then fruit) Dinner will be sausages - may do a casserole, may just grill them, with potatoes and veg. Want to make a rice pud and banana and walnut loaf in a while oven is on. Quite fancy a Parkin too, now CQ's mentioned itHaven't had one in ages. Think I'll go find a recipe right now..........
TM
Edit: just looked at Parkin recipes. I haven't got any fine Oatmeal - will anything else do? Can I blitz porridge oats or is oatmeal totally diffferent?0 -
Hi All, :hello:
So sorry to hear about your daughter N9eav, I hope she is soon feeling better.
Its my day off day today and boy do I need one! I just dont know what happens to our house over the weekend, everything seems to go to pot.
OH is really untidy, and he doesnt make the kids clear up after themselves either. I went to do the food shopping and when I came home (Saturday) OH and DD's were out, taking DD1 to her dancing lesson. I ventured upstairs and discovered towels and flannels, PJ's and dirty underwear all over the bathroom floor. MY toothbrush on the bathroom floor, and no-one had flushed the chain or put on a new loo roll. OH had fed DD's but left their plates etc still on the table, butter etc still out on worksurface in kitchen etc. Beds were still unmade. (This was 2pm)
Yesterday wasnt much better, OH wanted to clean car and do a bit in the garden so off he goes outside, taking DD's with him as they wanted to play on their bikes, leaving devastation in their wake yet again. All I have done this weekend is clear up after them, and today I'm doing it all again!
Right - rant over. :rotfl:
I've almost finished upstairs, cleaned all rooms, sorted through DD's wardrobes for stuff to add to ebay pile. Just need to clean bathroom floor and vacuum.
had lunch, (yummy jacket spud with cheese and ham) then need to start downstairs. Sheets and towels hanging on line, a couple more loads to put in washer.
Tea tonight is rubber chicken curry and chocolate birthday cake (DD's)
Must go and get on with it. (Need a "pulls on rubber gloves grimly" smilie) :rotfl:0 -
Two loads of washing on line but not a very good drying day.
Dishes are in dishwasher and soup is in slow cooker. DDs can have a potato, cheese and onion dish instead.
Went to Wetherby this morning and bought winter weight king size duvet and two bedding sets for about £35 for the lot from Morrisons.
We have a double bed but if I use the king size bedding for winter then it should stop DH taking all the duvet. Am getting sick of waking up because I am freezing!!!
Also got some essential oils for aromatherapy as all the talk of bird flu is scaring me and an antiviral mix sprayed into all rooms should help . Fingers crossed!"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Hugs to everyone who needs them today, hope everyone's days are going ok.
Went to aqua aerobics again this morning - 9.45am, did me good to get out the house and fantastic exercise.
Then popped to asda and got a couple of bits to finish off my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and had a little walk about and a cup of tea too - needed to sit and have a break as I've had a stressful weekend trying to work out what to try and do job wise.
Just having a sit down and catching up on the internet and then I'm going to have some soup for lunch, put the dry washing away, put another load on and try and have a really good sort out and clear up in a little while and got a couple of phone calls to make.
Make your own pizzas for dinner tonight I think, and need to sort my fingers out - skin round my fingers is horrible and dry and flaky - think it's partly all the washing up (had a dishwasher in the old place) and the colder weather - hand cream here I come!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

DH has done things completely backwards today and did not go to bed until 1pm and now plans on getting up at 8pm so my plans for tea have gone out the window. I've now pulled some spicey burgers out of the freezer complete with buns and I will do some chips and corn on the cob for me and the kids tonight.
I'm going to sit and work out the finances tonight if I can stay awake long enough to see if I can get some christmas shopping done this week.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I would have thought that would be OK, I would blitz it for a small time and keep doing it that way until you get the finish you need.
