Haier washing machines

This is a warning about a poor product, Comet are selling Haier washing machines and they are on offer at £189.99 - I bought one and after a week it packed up, Comet did send a repairman who told me that it was the third machine he had been to that day. I got my money back from Comet but I was told by the warehouseman that they are getting a lot of Haier machines back. So please be careful when buying this brand, they are a chinese make trying to get a foot hold into our market place. I can't criticise Comet there service has been good although the initial salesman told me that Haier were American.

We also purchased a Haier washing machine (1000TVE) in April 2008 as our old machine died a death. Three weeks later the machine stopped spinning leaving the clothes wet. We contacted the retailer the next morning who passed us on to Haier direct. After some considerable delay (about 2 weeks or so) as Haier did not know who their repair agent was for our area, an engineer eventually came to look at the machine. To cut a long story short, the inside mechanism had to be replaced - on a new machine!!!. We have just got the machine delivered back to us and will see how it goes.

I bought a Hairer Dishwasher just under 12 months ago. I can't recommend it enough, especially since is only cost something like £159 at the time. Its very quiet, cleans well, and has plenty of programmes to choose from.

I have bought one of these machines and only had it a few weeks, touch wood... its still working but the delivery guy said when he dropped it off that he would be back to pick it up next week as it'll have busted by then! He also said that the day before he collected 6 broken machines and 7 the day before all this make.

I'm just waiting for it to go wrong, the delivery guy said however Beko is a good machine at a cheap price and thats what he had.

We bought one 4 months ago. Since then we have had 7 enigneers come out to repair it, often the same part.

The 5th, 6th and 7th engineer both said they would speak to their manager so we could get a refund, however each one kept ordering new parts.

After being calm for so long, I finally lost it on the phone after they said "An engineer will have to come out to write the machine off" - I said how many do you need, Ive had 7 come out.

After much arguing I got a refund, only for them to put it on a gift card. They had anotehr machine we wanted to buy, but as it took so long to get the refund, Comet had put it back up to its full price so we missed out. Had to settle for a relacement hoping it was just a faulty one off.

Weve had the new haier for 3 days and so far its had 2 errors flash up and now its not draining. Another fun call to comet.

Oh, And £11.37 we have spent phoning their CS :mad:

Haier are a Chinese brand and are garbage. Stick with Miele, Bosch or AEG/Siemens if you want a proper washing machine.

Can sympathise with all who got a Haier washing machine, we got a new one 7 days ago, it did 1 good wash, then all we got was error messages and unbalanced messages. After 4 days my wife went back to Comet and complained, told them she was willing to pay extra for a different make machine, we now have an Indesit (great so far) which was delivered free of charge the next day. Delivery men made a laugh out of Haier machines, they said they were fed up of collecting them. Cant fault Comet aftersales service, although the salesman who sold us the Haier said they are the same as Hotpoint and really popular in rest of Europe, which I believed but now dont, sorry for going on a bit...Steer clear of Haier.

Oh no, having had an accident with mine on Monday (cue smoke and burning rubber yuk) I trawled through the net for an urgent delivery. I have had one from Comet (not the basic model but the same brand) and its coming tomorrow.

Regretting it already based on the above.

We bought our Haier washing machine just over 2 weeks ago and the spin has broken already!!!!:rotfl:

Will be contacting Comet in the morning me thinks :rolleyes:
