As a Board Guide who can't quite be here 24/7, I really appreciate ONE person posting 'reported' on a spam post, because I can then delete them and not bother emailing abuse.

If I don't KNOW that they've been reported, then I do it.

So thanks Poppycat, chris and all you other lovely people. Each one only saves me a few seconds, but it all adds up!

I'll back this up as another Board Guide. It is very handy not having to email obvious spam to abuse if someone else has done it already.

As Board Guides, we are just normal members who help out. Some days, when I log on, it can take me 15 to 20 minutes of deleting spam and moving messages to the correct board before I get to look at the threads I'm interested in. Anyone that helps point out problem threads is doing the right thing as far as I'm concerned. It certainly helps me out, and makes it a bit easier.

I appreciate what Poppycat, MCD, and all the others do for pointing the problems out. It does help, and I know you do this freely to help keep the forums in order.

Of course, for me it's especially important that people keep reporting spam during the normal working week, because I can't usually be online then, and a lot gets dealt with before I ever see it!

That is the reason that I will post to say it is reported if no one else has.

Not just because it helps the BGs do their job, but it will also save everyone else putting in a report as well.

In addition, I presume that it probably makes the abuse team's job easier and quicker if they don't have dozens of reports on the same post to wade through.

Just to let you know, I, and I expect others as well have just had a PM from a new member ("jspdkd") vbmenu_register("postmenu_", true); trying to sell me a credit history repair service.

Yes, I got the pm also.

Credit repair is legal. However, it is not liked by the credit reporting agencies or otherwise known as credit bureaus. If you think about it, it makes complete sense that you should be able to fix your credit report if there are errors or inaccurate information on it.
