Agreed. But it doesn't necessarily have to be

    - coming from a consumer ISP
    - coming from a country where the ISPs or service provider/host give a monkeys about what is done on their network as long as they get paid
    - be using the originator's own source http connection/IP to post

As I said, I'm sure the abuse team are taking all the reasonable steps behind the scenes that they can. :)

Maybe a spamming section might help to keep them all in there and keep them away from genuine posts.

    maybe a heading like.

"God will forgive those who Spam against us".:A

    or something less provoking.

    just my thoughts

If your daft enough to click on a obvious spam post then you deserve all you get imo

What makes me laugh is the same people saying ' spam reported ' racing each other to be first and the spammer laughing at them, because they keep his post top of the pile.

I rarely post on here now, not because of spammers i ignore it, thats life, it's the bloody annoying spam checkers on here, once is enough people !!!!!!, and only for the people dumb enough to click the link.

Free petrol !!!!!! lmao AS IF

I completely disagree. If it weren't for people like poppycat and mountainchrisriver and the handful of other people who can actually be bothered to report spam as and when it crops up, these boards would soon be overwhelmed by it.

It only takes a second to click the thanks button when someone takes the time to report abuse, yet most people don't even bother doing that.

They get my appreciation for sure :T.

Most people dont click on a thanks button, because most people on here have the common sense to not bother clicking on FREE PETROL on the main board, or any other scam that is too good to be true. i see you have been a member for 6 weeks max, wait until you post in the wrong place and see the hoards come after ya lol.

Just a heads up dont take it personal

As a Board Guide who can't quite be here 24/7, I really appreciate ONE person posting 'reported' on a spam post, because I can then delete them and not bother emailing abuse.

If I don't KNOW that they've been reported, then I do it.

So thanks Poppycat, chris and all you other lovely people. Each one only saves me a few seconds, but it all adds up!
