Voipbuster starts charging for calls to the UK now.

Sipdiscount is still free, but not too sure how long it will last.
Voipcheap is free for UK, but is not configured to used with PAP2.

Are you saying it's not possible to configure the PAP2 with Voipcheap?

I thought the issue with VoIPCheap was that it uses IAX or IAX2 rather than SIP.

This might explain the creation of SIPDiscount ?

    Thanks

    That's right.
VOIPCheap uses IAX, not SIP ==> could not be configured to run with PAP2

For those that are still following; ordered 2 of these from BBB but unfortunately only 1x BT adaptor in each box.... Will be asking them if that's now right (and TBH if it is then can't really say much fairer than that anyway) - but just fyi for anyone still looking for these.

Another update along this line - BBB say vonage have changed the package contents to 1x BT adaptor, but they sent me a couple of adaptors anyway as it was advertised as having 2. Good service points there :D:D:D

I noticed a few days ago that BBB are quoting just one BT adaptor with the £19.99 (locked) unit and none with the £39.99 (unlocked) unit. Just checked, still has the same details.

    Can anyone help?
I have the pap2 adapter connected to my router. The DMZ is enabled and i am able to make outgoing calls via SIPdiscount & VOIPbuster. The problem is that although the person at the end of the line can hear me, i can't hear them. However, when i make a call that requires credit i can hear the recorded message stating i need to top up my credit??
Has anyone any suggestions or is anyone able to post all the settings i need? I keep finding some of the settings but it may be that i have changed some of the default settings without realising.

    Thanks is advance.

One way sound is almost always a firewall / router issue.

Ensure ports 5060 & 5061 are given FULL access.

In the SIP tab make a note of the ports against RTP parameters (normally 16384 TO 16482) and ensure they are forwarded.

    HTH

I've given full access to the above mentioned ports. I've also checked the RTP parameters and they are the same as those two you listed. After that i am lost. How/where do i forward them?

    Thanks,

    Mark.
